The Milestone Hotel To Host Exclusive ‘Art of Bond: Diamonds are Forever’ Experience

Featuring glittering jewels, Champagne clinking and a rare menu, join The Milestone Hotel in Kensington for a night of Bond-themed excellence this May

Diamond another day thanks to this special upcoming event at one of London’s suavest properties. Taking place in celebration of the release of the 25th James Bond film, due to air this October, The Milestone Hotel in Kensington is launching a highly exclusive event with its prestigious partners.

Starting with a Champagne and canapé reception in The Milestone’s beautiful Conservatory, hosted by the inimitable Linda Hugo of Beyond Curated, and renowned James Bond expert and food critic Richard Bagnold, the experience is a must-book for any James Bond aficionados.

Join Alessandro Borruso, Deputy Director at Sotheby’s, and Sophie Harley, who worked with the Bond team on the “Casino Royale” set, for a glass of 2005 Vintage Taittinger Blanc de Blancs in the hotel’s Windsor Suite, as they discuss the intrigue and mystery of the world of rare gems and diamonds.

Sophie will share her fascinating stories of the inspiration and design process for creating the famous Algerian Love Knot necklace which features prominently in the film “Casino Royale”, as worn by Vesper Lynd, played by Eva Green. Sophie was present on set and met with Eva for fittings, and will recount the magic of these experiences.

Of course, don’t forget the extra sparkle – there will also be an array of stunning Sophie Harley jewels present on the night to view and enjoy. Deputy Director at Sotheby’s Diamonds Europe, Alessandro is a former geologist and certified specialist in gemmology, diamond-grading and jewellery valuation with over 20 years’ experience in fine jewellery and diamonds.

Guests will then dine exactly like Bond, enjoying the very meals experienced by the man himself in the spectacular setting of Cheneston’s Restaurant. Take a journey through a one-of-a-kind Bond menu of delicious courses, inspired by the original Ian Fleming novels and expertly recrafted by Richard and our Executive Chef Daniel Putz. Each plate, taken from a different Fleming novel, has its own tale to tell.
