Located in the heart of Madrid’s Las Cortes district, Nobu Hotel Madrid is now open. Along with beautiful design, the hotel brings Nobu’s signature pillars of exceptional dining, thoughtful design and heartfelt service to the Spanish capital for the first time
Swish weekend getaways are calling. Set between Plaza de Cibeles and Puerta del Sol, the 50-room hotel arrives as Madrid continues to cement its position as one of Europe’s most exciting cultural and luxury destinations.
Nobu Dining Comes to Madrid
At the heart of the hotel is the city’s first Nobu restaurant, forming part of a tri-level dining destination alongside an all-day Lobby Lounge and intimate cocktail bar.
Chef Nobu’s globally celebrated cuisine brings together Japanese techniques and South American flavours, with signatures including Black Cod Miso and Yellowtail Jalapeño joined by dishes incorporating Spanish ingredients such as Canarian sea bass and Mediterranean tuna.
Designed by internationally renowned architecture and design studio, GRONDA, the restaurant translates Nobu’s Japanese heritage through a warm, contemporary lens, with bronze-toned ceilings, dark stone flooring, timber panelling and floor-to-ceiling windows connecting the space to the streets of Madrid.
From Lobby to Rooftop
On the lower ground floor, the hotel’s intimate cocktail bar draws inspiration from the hotel’s former life as a bank, retaining original features including thick vault walls and safety deposit boxes. Centred around a high-fidelity vinyl DJ system, the bar pairs martini-style cocktails with twists on local classic dishes, including Nobu Style Gildas and Blue Cheese Croquetas.
Crowning the hotel’s seventh floor, The Rooftop offers panoramic views of Madrid and an effortlessly stylish setting for sunset. Aperitivo-style cocktails accompany a relaxed, shareable menu featuring dishes including Sea Bass and Coconut Ceviche, Tortilla with Dry Miso and a Salmon Bikini with Caviar.
Located at the hotel entrance, the Lobby Lounge is conceived as a welcoming living room for guests and the local community, evolving throughout the day alongside the pace of the city. A specialty coffee programme developed with local roasters sits alongside kombucha, wines by the glass, cocktails and a menu of light dishes, including Nobu’s interpretation of a classic club sandwich.
An Urban Refuge in the Heart of the City
Designed by Studio Caramba, the hotel’s 50 rooms and suites offer an urban refuge in the centre of Madrid. Interiors combine warm wood tones, organic textiles, deep green accents and softly layered lighting, while floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping views over the city. The signature Nobu Suite offers 105 sq. m of living space and its own private terrace.
Time to Recharge
Of course, don’t forget the relaxation. A dedicated wellness area provides a tranquil space to unwind, with an indoor swimming pool and state-of-the-art Technogym fitness centre. Guests can also enjoy Nobu in-room dining, priority access to Nobu restaurant, Nobu signature beds and BYREDO amenities.
