A modern and fuss-free stay, The Nadler Victoria makes an excellent choice for a stylish central London hotel, says editor Sophie Ritchie
There are times when all you want to do is lounge. Sit back, recline like a pampered house cat and watch the world pass you by. And then, there are times when a city adventure is calling – with a faster than fast pace to match.
Luckily, The Nadler Victoria has been carefully designed to help a modern traveler keep up with London’s sprightly energy, as I discover when I check-in for a night of simple yet well-executed comfort.
The Venue
A short five-minute stroll from the Queen’s guard-flanked pad, The Nadler Victoria sits tucked away between Buckingham Palace and the foodie-centric Nova, Victoria with its gleaming restaurants and bars.
Ideal for tourists from far and wide, some of London’s most avid attractions are on its doorstep. Parliament and St James Park are just down the road, whilst Victoria station offers easy transport links to more of the capital’s best sights. The friendly reception team also have maps ready to-hand to help plan some dreamy sightseeing.
The Room
Inside awaits 73 contemporary cozy rooms, ranging from the petite Single to a larger Deluxe room category. I stay in a King room, which features a super spacious bed as well as speedy Wi-Fi, an interactive TV and a handy in-room mini kitchen.
Opening a seemingly innocent cupboard door reveals a fridge, microwave, BRITA filter taps, kettles, cutlery and wine glasses – the perfect pairing to the generous bottle of white wine waiting on the desk for me. If you’re staying in London for more than a few days, it’s the perfect place to keep a small stockpile of snacks and little essentials.
Interiors are sleek and crisp – with neutral colours, soft lighting and plenty of mirrors to help a guest get ready for a day of either business or adventuring.
The small but well-kitted bathroom opens to reveal a powerful shower and luxury Gilchrist & Soames toiletries, as well as a duo of matching fluffy robes. After a long day on your feet, the accompanying soft slippers are guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
The Food
There’s no designed restaurant at The Nadler Victoria, but don’t fret, foodies – guests can order breakfast straight to their room thanks to a simple menu card ordering system.
The property has partnered with neighbouring restaurant Timmy Green to offer a range of light breakfast items, available from 7.30am onwards. For £17.95, guests can also dine at the trendy venue itself and sample the full plethora of Aussie-inspired brunch dishes.
Don’t miss: Staying here comes with plenty of wallet-friendly benefits: upon check-in, guests are presented with a small card that can be used for nabbing 25% off drinks at The Other Palace Theatre, 10% off lunch and dinner at Peruvian and Japanese fusion restaurant UNI, 20% off treatments by Lune Blue, 50% off day passes at H2 Gym, and other nearby bargains.
The Wordrobe Verdict
If you’re planning a fast-paced city adventure, The Nadler Victoria makes an excellent place to unwind in style. Decked out with handy mod cons and designed with comfort in mind, this central hotel is ideal for living la vida London.
