Destination by Hyatt To Debut In Paros This Summer

Opening in summer 2026, Parian Chronicle will mark the arrival of Destination by Hyatt on the island of Paros, introducing a more design-led and culturally grounded expression of Cycladic hospitality

Inspired by the ancient Parian Chronicle, a historic marble inscription documenting moments of Greek history, the hotel draws on themes of storytelling, heritage and human connection, shaping a contemporary retreat that reflects both the island’s past and its evolving identity.

Located in Kampos, just a short distance from Paros Airport and Parikia port, the 50-room property offers a low-density sanctuary overlooking the Aegean. Accommodation includes a mix of rooms and suites, many with private terraces or pools, designed to maximise light, privacy and a seamless connection to the surrounding landscape.

Design is central to the concept, with Cycladic architecture reinterpreted through a softer, more textural lens. Whitewashed forms are balanced with natural stone, warm woods and tactile finishes, while interiors are defined by muted earth tones, sculptural lines and a sense of quiet restraint. Spaces are intentionally pared back, allowing light, shadow and materiality to take focus, creating an atmosphere that feels both contemporary and deeply rooted in place.

Dining is conceived as an extension of the island itself, grounded in seasonality and local provenance. Menus draw on the flavours of Paros and the wider Cyclades, with an emphasis on simple, ingredient-led cooking, regional wines and a more relaxed, sociable style of service. From long, unhurried breakfasts to informal, sharing-style lunches and atmospheric evening dining, the experience reflects the natural rhythm of island life.

Guests are also invited to engage more deeply through producer-led tastings, local collaborations and occasional communal feasts that celebrate Parian culture.

With a focus on restoration, the hotel’s spa draws inspiration from ancient Greek healing traditions, incorporating natural elements, restorative rituals and a slower, more holistic philosophy of wellbeing. Treatments are designed to reconnect guests with both body and environment, complemented by quiet spaces for rest, a fitness offering and moments of stillness integrated throughout the property.

As Paros continues to emerge as one of the Cyclades’ most compelling alternatives to Mykonos and Santorini, Parian Chronicle is positioned to offer a more understated and immersive stay, balancing design, location and cultural authenticity with a quieter sense of luxury.
