Urban paradise awaits. Launching this July, discover The Mandrake Hotel’s brand new cabana experience
Post-lockdown, The Mandrake Hotel is set to unveil ‘The Mandrake Cabanas’, exclusive and unique private drinking and dining spaces that open onto the hotel’s hidden oasis terrace.
Launching on July 4th as the hotel re-opens, the Cabanas will offer private unique laid-back spaces for guests to dance, drink and feast, in the heart of central London.
Relax in the inviting space without worry – The Mandrake will go above and beyond industry Covid guidelines, ensuring every one of the spaces is a secure and clean environment.
YOPO, the acclaimed restaurant at The Mandrake hotel, and Jurema, the award-winning outdoor terrace space in the core of the hotel, will also re-open their doors – both providing guests with a sense of escapism for stylish drinking and dining in London’s Fitzrovia.
Cabana Chic
Offering both privacy for guests, as well as being part of the action with direct access to the hotel’s outdoor terrace, the stylish Cabanas will transport guests from reality to a mini tropical paradise.
The perfect opportunity for friends and family to reconnect with each other after time apart, each of the ten Cabanas are available for reservation throughout both day and night.
On the foodie front, a table service menu is available with South American inspired dishes from YOPO and cocktails from Waeska bar.
Dishes will include Grilled Lamb shoulder tacos, raw pea, jalapeno and tomatillo salsa £16 (3 pieces), Fried fish tacos, spring cabbage, sour cream and pumpkin seed salsa £17 (3 pieces) and snacks of Courgette flowers and Smoked cheese Quesadillas £9 (2 pieces).
Cabanas will be themed in line with the cultural activations of the hotel and include a TV screen to stream wellness workshops or artistic programmes happening within the hotel, or the guest’s own choice of music or entertainment.
Jurema’s re-opening
The award-winning first-floor Jurema terrace, one of the largest outdoor spaces of any hotel in London, is the perfect spot to spend a tranquil afternoon in the sun. Open throughout summer, Jurema offers al fresco drinking and dining from lunch to dinner, serving bespoke cocktails and a new bar menu from YOPO, with South American inspired dishes.
The menu created by Executive Chef George Scott-Toft, includes dishes such as Empanadas and Ceviches as well as snacks.
Empanadas (3 pieces per serve) include Octopus, artichoke and olive £11 and Lamb, fennel, potato and salted chilli £9. Ceviches will comprise Pineapple tomato, Aji amarillo, avocado and plantain £12 (vegan) and Prawn, cucumber and raspberry £14.
At the bar, Jurema’s new cocktail menu will feature bold flavours and exciting libations. Don’t miss the Jalapeno, £15, a refreshing twist on the classic Paloma with Casamigos Blanco tequila, homemade pickled jalapeño vinegar, a subtle chilli kick, chipotle and pink grapefruit.
Designed by world-renowned landscape architects Bureau Bas Smets and winning ‘Best Outdoor Space’ at the Global AHEAD Awards in 2019, the Jurema Terrace is scattered with rattan style furniture and cosy cushions for guests to lounge on. Two words – greenery abundance.
Safety is at the heart of the hotel and The Mandrake will go above and beyond government Covid guidelines to ensure every experience is both an exquisite and safe one with ample space and meticulous cleanliness.
