A spectacularly grown-up treehouse hidden within Devon’s Chevithorne Barton estate, Verte blends into its sylvan glade setting with simple modern elegance. 10 Elmore Court’s Luxury Treehouses, Gloucestershire


Rewild Things treehouses are set on the Elmore Court estate, which also operates as a wedding and events venue. Choose to stay in one of six bespoke crafted cabins named after the wild spirits Adder, Wild Cat, Sky, Earth and Kite, set high in the canopy of Park Covert Woods, with winding boardwalks leading to each British cedar clad cabin. Sky is accessible to all including wheelchairs and prams, and Adder and Earth are dog friendly. 

The Elmore Court estate is in its fifth year of a nature recovery programme which has seen 500 acres of land being entered into a rewilding programme and the land in front of the cabins gently return to wetland status. 

Each treehouse has a deck with a brazier/ firepit as well as snooze chairs and blankets to cuddle up in. The stylish Roshults outdoor kitchens with combi-oven, fridge and dinner set sits under shelter, aimed to maximise time spent outside with heating if required. 

The treehouses feature a William & Holland tin and copper bath – perfect for soaking up those incredible views.  There are thoughtful details such as home-made dandelion cordials and spoiling bath products, as well as Bluetooth speaker with DAB radio and super-fast fibre Wi-Fi. 

There are walks around the estate to explore and even a spring fed pond for private wild swimming and sauna sessions (sorry adults only). Additional experiences can be arranged including massage from the Cotswold Spa, foraging and walking safaris to explore the diverse flora and fauna that inhabits the area in greater detail. 

Heading off the estate, guests can discover cultural and natural attractions like Berkeley Castle, an ancient fortress dating back to the 12th century, Slimbridge Wetland Centre for bird and wildlife encounters and Westonbirt Arboretum, to wander through stunning plant collections.
