Every once in a while, you just have to break out some Taylor Swift. And this track is classic T.S material.
Love her or hate her, Taylor nails the lyrics in her songs. She’s good at capturing honesty. I like Clean an awful lot. There has been a lot of change for me in the last six months, some bad, some good, some very ugly – this song feels like a post-it note reminder to that.

It’s simple, very simple, but makes an impact nonetheless. Clean reminds me of many things, and many moments. That sense of pain making you tougher – but also washing you down.
It also reminds me about when to shut doors, when to open them… and when to lock them and throw away the key. Love it.
