Try out Tigermilk's new Spitalfields site

After a sold-out London debut, Tigermilk is set to expand even further with a 280-seat hacienda in Spitalfields.
After a breakout first opening on Tottenham Court Road, where queues formed within days and the concept quickly established itself as one of London’s most talked-about new arrivals, Tigermilk returns this April with its largest restaurant to date, unveiling a 280-seat flagship in Spitalfields and marking its 13th opening since 2019.
Founded by Nina and Alexis Melikov, the group has rapidly built a following across Europe, serving more than 4,000 guests daily with its now distinctive take on the Latin American brasserie: bold, high-impact and unapologetically generous, yet priced to be returned to again and again.
The Spitalfields site pushes that formula to its most ambitious scale yet: 230 seats indoors, a 50-cover terrace, and a space conceived not as a single dining room but as a fully realised hacienda unfolding room by room. Guests enter through a courtyard before moving deeper into the house, passing through a sequence of interconnected spaces, from the main dining room to a vast orangery seating over 80 guests, while above it all a six-metre-high bar rises as the centrepiece of the restaurant, overlooking the courtyard below and backed by over 2,000 bottles.
Inspired by the grand estates of Cuernavaca, the design embraces scale, theatricality and excess: layered, dramatic and deliberately over the top.
The food follows the same philosophy: cochinita pibil tacos, vibrant ceviches and large-format dishes built for sharing, alongside indulgent desserts such as maracuyá tiramisu and dulce de leche cheesecake. The bar remains central, with more than 250 tequilas and mezcals and a cocktail list built around fresh, punchy flavours, from classic margaritas to new signature serves designed for long evenings.

Bring a hater to LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW

Celebrate International Liquorice Day this April by joining LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW in its mission to convert all liquorice haters. This April, Brits across the nation are being challenged to put that opinion to the test as part of Danish gourmet confectionery brand LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW’s ambitious global initiative, converting liquorice haters into lovers, one tasting at a time.

To mark International Liquorice Day (12th April), the brand is launching the world’s largest liquorice tasting, inviting fans and sceptics alike. The concept is simple: Bring a Hater. Participants are invited to visit LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW stores across London or order online, bringing along someone who claims they dislike liquorice. In return, they’ll be offered a complimentary tasting experience designed to challenge expectations.

Every liquorice lover knows someone who proclaims that they hate it, in fact LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW recently discovered that the UK is the most skeptical nation when it comes to the flavour, with over a third of Brits actively disliking it, and almost a quarter claiming they could never be converted. International Liquorice Day is the perfect moment to challenge that perception, bring a hater and see if they can be converted!

When: Complimentary tastings will be available between Tuesday 7th – Sunday 12th April
Where: At 36 John Lewis nationwide, Liberty London and at the LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW stores in Canary Wharf, Monmouth Street Seven Dials, and Westfield London.

Get a chocolate fix with Tony’s Chocolonely

Hold onto your forks – the dessert menu at Wahaca is getting a gloriously OTT takeover. For a limited time only, the Mexican-inspired restaurant is partnering with Tony’s Chocolonely, the chocolate company that exists to end exploitation in cocoa, to create four playful new desserts, plus a cocktail designed to dial up the decadence and bring a little extra joy to the end of every meal.

The special menu runs from 25th March to 28th April at Wahaca’s restaurants across the UK, with the collaboration reflecting the values shared by both brands around ethical sourcing and sustainability.

Taking a turn from savoury to sweet, tacos are at the heart of the Tony’s collab. Crispy tortillas are rolled in cinnamon sugar and filled with unapologetic deliciousness – these are so much more than your average sweet treats. Tony’s ‘Everything’ Taco (£8.95) – filled with vanilla ice cream, rich chocolate sauce, candied pecans, honeycomb and a generous chocolate chunk for good measure. A raucous riot of texture and flavour!
The Chocolate Cherry Taco (£8.95) –  frosty, fruity and fabulous, combining cherry ripple ice cream with dark chocolate, topped with raspberry-dusted cream and a glossy glacé cherry.

And because no Mexican dessert menu would be complete without them, Wahaca’s much-loved churros are also getting the Tony’s treatment. Crisp, golden Mexican doughnuts are served with a selection of sensational sides for dipping, including:

Straight-Up Chocolate (£6.95) – the classic, with rich, velvety chocolate sauce for purists.

Soak up a Maison Pommery champagne tasting at Sycamore

Bubbly, anyone? Sycamore at Middle Eight will host a ticketed Maison Pommery champagne tasting on the evening of 8th April 2026 in Covent Garden, giving Londoners a spring evening built around three pours from the house, complimentary canapés and a rare chance to taste Pommery’s prestige cuvée, Cuvée Louise 2006.

Taking place from 6pm to 8pm at the restaurant on Great Queen Street, the event arrives as London shifts into a more social spring rhythm, giving what’s-on pages a timely reason to spotlight something more refined and distinctive than the usual drinks-led evening.

Set within Sycamore, Middle Eight’s Italian restaurant, the tasting will begin with a welcome glass of Pommery Louis Sparkling England on arrival, before guests are seated for a guided presentation and tasting. Three champagnes will be poured over the course of the evening: Pommery Brut Royal NV, Pommery 1874 Apanage Blanc de Blancs NV, newly launched to the UK market, and Pommery Cuvée Louise 2006 Prestige. A complimentary selection of four canapés will be served alongside.

The evening is positioned less as a formal masterclass and more as an elegant, well-paced social tasting in the heart of central London. That makes it especially relevant now: as the city’s spring calendar fills with terrace reopenings and familiar seasonal events, this offers something with a stronger sense of occasion; polished and rooted in both discovery and atmosphere.

The inclusion of Pommery 1874 Apanage Blanc de Blancs NV gives the evening an added sense of currency, while the chance to taste Cuvée Louise 2006 brings weight and rarity to the experience. Together, they make this feel less like a standard tasting and more like a one-off event for Londoners looking for something properly special midweek.

As an added detail, guests will also have the opportunity to purchase a limited-edition gift box of Cuvée Louise vintage champagne on the night, giving the event an extra layer of exclusivity.

Fashion Becomes (edible) Art with The Kensington

One for the style seekers. On 28th March, The Kensington unveils Fashion Becomes Tea – an avant-garde afternoon tea inspired by the radical imagination and surrealist elegance of The V&A Museum’s highly anticipated exhibition, Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art, which launches on the same day, just moments from the hotel.

Drawing from the exhibition’s bold visual language and boundary-breaking spirit, the experience transforms haute couture into a sensorial journey of flavour, texture and form. Sculptural pastries, expressive colour palettes and unexpected flavour pairings evoke the drama and artistry of the runway, reinterpreted through the refined culinary lens of one of Kensington’s most elegant hotels.

A celebration of surrealism and craftsmanship, each element of the afternoon tea is designed with the same meticulous attention to detail found in couture ateliers – dramatic silhouettes, playful trompe-l’œil techniques and striking compositions that delight both eye and palate.

Among the sweet highlights is Le Choux Shoe, a caramel choux bun filled with apricot gel and caramel chocolate, nodding to the Maison’s iconic upside-down shoe hat, conceived in collaboration with Salvador Dalí, and on display in the exhibition. The Pink Parfum celebrates the renowned 1937 perfume, ‘Shocking’, featured in the exhibition, through a ruby chocolate bavarois layered with berry medley and cacao Sablé Breton, while The Iconic Atelier, shaped like an eye, is an homage to the surrealist movement and its impact on couture and culture – with a mandarin curd tart crowned with orange jelly and white chocolate ganache.

Completing the collection is Le Trou de Serrure, an elegant espresso and mascarpone opera gâteau that celebrates Elsa Schiaparelli’s Italian roots and French joie de vivre with inspiration from the original emblems and codes featured throughout the exhibition.

The savoury selection offers an expressive mix of both classic and whimsical elements. From cucumber, dill and cream cheese on black sesame charcoal brioche to roasted red pepper with hummus and black olive crumble, alongside coronation chicken with apricot, and a beetroot, pecan and goat’s cheese tart, complemented by the chef’s seasonal ever-changing savoury creation.

The Kensington’s signature scones – both plain and fruit – are served warm with clotted cream and homemade jam. Guests then progress through the series of surrealist pâtisserie creations, each inspired by the theatricality and bold aesthetic synonymous with the esteemed fashion house presented prominently in Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art.

To elevate the experience further, guests may pair the afternoon tea with Le Petite Bisou, a delicate yet intriguing cocktail combining Sauvelle vodka, Amaro Santoni, Champagne, lychee juice and almond and hibiscus cordial, sealed with a contrasting black charcoal sugar lip-shaped garnish. Floral, sparkling and softly bittersweet, the drink arrives in a striking shade of pink.

Beyond the tea lounge, the celebration continues at the hotel’s sophisticated K Bar, where a quartet of surrealist cocktails reimagine classic flavour profiles through playful illusion and unexpected composition.

The experience coincides with the landmark exhibition Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art at the Victoria & Albert South Kensington, the first UK exhibition dedicated to the visionary designer. Opening in March 2026, the show charts the extraordinary legacy of Elsa Schiaparelli from the 1920s to the present day, tracing the evolution of the maison and its continued influence under creative director Daniel Roseberry.

Just moments from the museum itself, Fashion Becomes Tea offers guests a deliciously imaginative extension of the exhibition – where couture meets cuisine, and surrealism unfolds one exquisite bite at a time.

As coffee culture moves beyond the cup and into the realm of creativity, Page8 hotel, Trafalgar Square, is pleased to announce a new series of hands-on workshops taking place this spring and summer in the Page Common Coffee House.

Led by illustrator and workshop facilitator Alice Peake, the new sessions invite Londoners and hotel guests to explore art and mindfulness through the unexpected medium of coffee, alongside a cyanotype printing workshop launching in June.

Tapping into the growing appetite for creative, low-pressure experiences and mindful ways to socialise – with recent research showing 58%* of 18- to 44-year-olds now prefer “low-pressure” social settings – the series offers an alternative evening plan for the sober-curious and those seeking connection, creativity and a chance to switch off from screens. The workshops form part of Page8’s wider creative programme, which also includes its popular Art Dating Clubs, bringing together Londoners through shared artistic experiences.

Suminagashi with Coffee – Monday 20 April
Inspired by the Japanese art of suminagashi, meaning “floating ink”, this workshop introduces participants to the meditative process of marbling patterns on water. Within this hour-long session, Alice will introduce participants to this Japanese mindful marbling technique.  In a fun twist inspired by the Coffee House setting, participants will use coffee as the ink medium to create organic swirling designs before transferring them onto paper to produce unique prints.

Each participant will experiment with creating several marbled pieces, learning how subtle movements and techniques can shape the delicate patterns that emerge. The session is designed to be both creative and calming, allowing guests to enjoy a slow, experimental approach to artmaking.

Watercolour paper, coffee marbling dye and marbling brushes are all provided, and participants will be able to take home their own beautifully marbled print, documenting their personalised Suminagashi design.

Date & Time: Monday 20th April, 6pm – 7pm
Prices & Inclusions: £15 including soft drink, beer, or glass of wine

Espresso Yourself: Still Life Painting with Coffee – Tuesday 26 May
Guests will explore the rich tones and textures of coffee as a painting medium in this relaxed still-life workshop. Participants will learn how to mix coffee into different shades before creating their own artwork inspired by everyday café objects.

Working with watercolour paper and brushes, attendees will experiment with layering coffee washes to build depth and contrast while painting a selection of still-life objects including cups, beans and other café-inspired items.

Date & Time: Tuesday 26th May, 6pm – 7pm
Prices & Inclusions: £15 including soft drink, beer, or glass of wine

Cyanotype Printing Workshop – Tuesday 16 June
The third workshop introduces guests to cyanotype printing, an early photographic printing technique that produces striking Prussian blue images.

In the floral-themed workshop participants will arrange flowers and foliage to create compositions on light-sensitive paper before exposing them to light to reveal the distinctive cyan-blue prints. The workshop will guide guests through the full process, from creating their design to developing and rinsing their final prints. Guests will leave with a set of their own cyanotype artworks and a deeper understanding of this historic photographic process.

Date & Time: Tuesday 16th June, 6pm – 7.30pm

Get ready for MA/NA's Mayfair arrival

Launching on 20th April 2026 on 30 Upper Grosvenor Street, MA/NA is born from the Japanese philosophy that every ingredient carries an invisible power; a life-force shaped by nature and the hands that honour it. ‘Mana’ is defined as the spiritual energy that exists beneath the surface of all things and in all ingredients. It is felt rather than seen, it is what transforms emotion into experience, and a meal into memory.

Guided by this belief, the 156-cover restaurant and bar will serve refined Japanese dishes alongside an exceptional cocktail, wine and sake list. The restaurant and bar take equal billing – cocktails flow effortlessly into dinner, and dinner naturally returns to drinks.

Executive Chef Leo Tanyag, of Los Mochis, JUNO & LUNA Omakase and formerly of OKKU Dubai, brings this philosophy to life through a menu inspired by Japan’s culinary traditions and modern sensibilities. The room itself carries a pulse: light, sound, design and service working together to elevate not only taste, but feeling.

Menu highlights include Ebi Wasabi (tiger shrimp tempura with creamy wasabi), Edamame Aburi (teriyaki edamame with black truffles), Kani Tartare Salad (king crab, Asian leaves, yuzu masago, pink peppercorns, espelette chilli, truffle ponzu and caviar pearls), Avocado Aburi (robata-seared avocado with asparagus, mushrooms and spicy mayo baked in a flaming shell), Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, Scallop

Dynamite Maki (California maki with spicy scallop, tanuki and sweet soy), Bulgogi Robata (grilled bone-in ribeye with ginger, garlic and sesame soy), Wagyu Ishiyaki (M5 Wagyu seared on a Himalayan salt stone with garlic-soy, ponzu and mixed Asian leaves), and Truffle & Garlic Fried Rice.

Grab a bistro-inspired bite at Tavern

Opening on Old Street in Shoreditch on 28th April, Tavern is a new British bistro from the team behind Nest and the Michelin starred and Green Star Restaurant St Barts. Inspired by the warmth and familiarity of pub culture, Tavern will channel the buzzy energy of a great local whilst serving refined, bistro style food.

Taking over the former Nest site, the space will be reimagined with a clean, cosy bistro feel. Upon entering, a large kitchen counter clad in black slate wraps around the open kitchen, forming the heart of the room.

The kitchen will be headed up by Executive Chef Brendan Appleby, whose previous experience includes Inver, Silo and Lyles, and who has served as Head Chef at Restaurant St Barts for the past two years.

The menu will change regularly with a small number of daily specials, focusing on seasonal British produce, whole animal butchery and dishes cooked over fire. To begin, guests can enjoy snacks such as devilled pig skin with smoked cod’s roe, hogget scrumpets with mint, or the Tavern sausage served with curry sauce in a nod to chip shop classics. Other dishes will include the Chunion ‘puff’ – a cheese and onion filled gougère – barbecued cuttlefish and pork XO skewers, and British bluefin tuna tostada with Irish wasabi.

For those settling in for dinner, larger plates will include Brixham turbot with English sparkling wine and cobnut sauce, Yew Tree Farm hogget with anchovy and ewe’s curd, and Tamworth pork served nose to tail with cider mustard sauce. For sharing, Welsh Wagyu rib of beef will be served on the bone, with marrow and Dorset snails and set to become a Tavern staple, the crispy veal sweetbread burger makes the perfect tableside accompaniment, or enjoyed at the counter with a freshly poured tankard of beer.

Desserts lean into nostalgic British flavours, from a ‘British Chocolate’ tart with barley ice cream to Todoli lemon sorbet with meringue, Baron Bigod malt loaf with fermented honey and bread and butter pudding ice cream, the kind of dishes that make lingering at the table feel easy.

When: Bookings for Tavern will go live on Monday 30th March.

Enjoy a day of free reformer classes with East of Eden

East of Eden is an inclusive and welcoming movement community in Walthamstow. They want to help everyone find connection and joy in moving their bodies regardless of size, shape, age, fitness level, ability, race, religion, ethnicity, sexuality or gender.

This month are hosting an entire day of FREE 30 minute classes in every studio on Saturday 14th March to celebrate 10 years of reformer at East of Eden.

Over the years, East of Eden’s reformers have had quite the journey: starting in the original 8-bed studio (now the café), moving down the mews to number 9 (now Skandihus) during the 2019/20 refurb, briefly into what is now Barre/Hot just before COVID, then into the garage for outdoor reformer in March 2021 so they could reopen early. When studios fully reopened that May, they returned to Studio 3. The studio expanded into the neighbouring space in 2022, and aside from a short stay in RIDE in early 2024 during refurb works, that’s been home ever since.

Ten years definitely calls for a celebration. Join us on the afternoon of Saturday March 14th for free 30-minute classes in every studio. Choose from reformer, ride, yoga, strength, inferno, barre, hot yoga or calisthenics. Classes are free to book – and if you can, please donate to our JustGiving page supporting Doctors Without Borders – CLICK HERE TO DONATE.

Partake in a visit to the beautiful new Pillar Hall

Opening its doors to guests on 30th March 2026, restaurateur Des Gunewardena, founder of D3 Collective and co-founder and former CEO of D&D London, will unveil Pillar Hall – a landmark 30,000 sq ft restaurant, speakeasy, events and live music destination at Olympia.

Becoming the first hospitality opening within Olympia’s £1.3 billion regeneration, Pillar Hall marks the beginning of a new cultural era for West London.

Set within the magnificent Grade II* listed hall – once home to one of Britain’s earliest film screenings and the venue for Vivienne Westwood’s first catwalk show – the reopening restores the building’s original spirit as a place for celebration, gathering and performance.

Originally designed in 1886 by architect Henry Edward Coe, also behind Olympia’s iconic Grand Hall, the hall was purpose built for exhibitions, concerts, balls and circus performances. 140 years later, that legacy returns – reimagined as an exciting new destination for dining, music and events.

Pillar Hall will bring together three distinct yet connected experiences:
• Idalia – a vibrant and glamorous 300-cover all-day restaurant and bar, opening 30th March
• Pepperbird – an intimate speakeasy-style bar inspired by Olympia’s musical heritage, opening 2nd April
• Upstairs at Pillar Hall – a dramatic 500+ capacity event and live music venue opening June 2026

Devour French indulge with Le Café by Nicolas Rouzaud

One for the chocolate worshippers. Nicolas Rouzaud brings a touch of nostalgic French indulgence to Le Café by Nicolas Rouzaud with a limited-edition Easter egg inspired by one of France’s most iconic pastries,  the brioche à tête.

At Le Café, where the brioche à tête sits at the heart of the menu, Easter is gourmand by nature.  Rouzaud reinterprets the brioche’s silhouette in smooth milk chocolate transforming an everyday  classic into a playful seasonal centrepiece.

Glossy milk chocolate encases layers of pillowy vanilla  marshmallow caramel and roasted hazelnuts creating a rich, melt-away centre. Inspired by the  warmth of traditional French pâtisserie, this year’s egg reflects Nicolas’ belief that celebrations should  always be marked with something truly delicious.

Crafted from fine milk chocolate, the egg mirrors the sculptural curves of a traditional brioche à tête.  Beneath its glossy shell lies a soft layer of vanilla marshmallow giving way to flowing caramel and  roasted hazelnuts, a perfect balance of sweetness, nuttiness and vanilla warmth. The result is rich and  indulgent, creating the perfect harmony of sweetness and delicate vanilla.

When: Available 16 March – 6 April 2026 only
Wallet:
£45
Where: Le Café by Nicolas Rouzaud, 66-67 Burlington Arcade, London, W1J 0QU.
