Just in time for summer, Speedo has released its most sustainable swimwear collection to date, featuring an Eco range made with up to 82% recycled materials
With pieces made from recycled yarn, the sustainable collection features the launch of two new fabrics, the Eco Endurance + and Eco Endurabrite, which aim to enhance the brand’s planet-friendly offering and further its commitment to be net-zero by 2030
Acknowledging the need for fabrics that don’t damage the planet, the innovative materials were created in response to the growing global issues surrounding plastic waste and the environmental impact on the oceans.
Whilst the Eco Endurabrite features 82% recycled materials made from plastic bottles and ocean waste, it also has a higher chlorine resistance which prevents wear and tear, meaning it allows swimwear to fit and feel newer for longer.

The Eco Endurabrite fabric can be found in Speedo’s spring/summer 2022 collection of fashion and functional swimwear, including two pieces, recycled caps, paddlesuits and classic swimsuits.
Further pieces in the new summer range have been crafted from Eco Endurance +, which is an evolution of the best-selling fabric from Speedo, made from 53% recycled polyester – with items including Speedo’s bestselling fitness collections and its popular Medallist suit. In doing so, the changes to the manufacturing and design of its popular swimsuit have saved over 27,000 metres of fabric from landfills.
