Six Senses Announces Two New Italian Hotel Locations

Launching in 2025 and 2028, here’s everything a luxury traveler needs to know about the new Six Senses Milan and Six Senses Lake Como

The textbook definition of a dreamy development, Six Senses will be opening two new luxury hotels in Italy in partnership with Gruppo Statuto. These new locations, Six Senses Milan and Six Senses Lake Como will follow the opening of Six Senses Rome in 2023 and the expected launch of Six Senses Antognolla in Umbria.

The latest additions bring the number of Six Senses properties in Europe under IHG Hotels & Resorts to nearly 100, with eight located in Italy, Switzerland, France, Israel, Portugal, Spain, and Turkey.

Six Senses Milan is located in the city’s artistic Brera quarter, a neighborhood known for its Milanese heritage and culture. Six Senses Lake Como, situated in Cadenabbia di Griante, continues the hospitality tradition of the region, which hosted its first hospitality destination in 1820.

Six Senses CEO Neil Jacobs highlighted the unique qualities of the locations, noting that Milan offers a blend of attentive hospitality and wellness in a vibrant fashion capital, while Lake Como offers a serene escape within beautiful lakeside gardens.

The new agreements also mark Gruppo Statuto as a major player in the international hotel sector, having already acquired Six Senses London, Six Senses Ibiza, and Six Senses Rome.

Gruppo Statuto owner Giuseppe Statuto expressed his enthusiasm for the continued collaboration with Six Senses, which will further strengthen the company’s luxury hotel portfolio.

Six Senses Milan, nestled in an artist’s quarter, promises to offer guests a journey through craftsmanship and timeless style. The brand’s commitment to sustainability is apparent, with a focus on sustainable materials and furnishings and a dedicated space for the Earth Lab. Then hotel will feature just 68 guest rooms, including 15 suites and two with plunge pools, a state-of-the-art spa, a rooftop bar, and a sky pool.

Six Senses Lake Como, following a complete restoration of the Grand Hotel Cadenabbia, will offer 102 generously sized rooms and suites, a spa and wellness area, an outdoor pool and sun deck, and a floating pool on the lake.
