With so many of us clambering for a space atop cross trainers or running faster than we ever thought imaginable after work just to get a space on the treadmill, January gyms have never been busier. Oh, New Year resolutions. Got to love them.
Powering through a workout can be a slog at the best of times (especially after a long day in the office), but don’t let an over packed gym or boring playlist put you off. The key to staying on track (or on treadmill) is to stay motivated.
So, here are five of my favourite remixes for an energising exercise session. It’s time to start loving cardio again.
1. Calvin Harris – Bounce (DEVI Deep House Remix)
Great for a warm up. Fast paced, nice drop. A perfect take on the 2011 original.
2. Eminem – Without Me (David Egg Bootleg)
Filthy remix. I love it. Use it for interval training or spinning. Or anything that requires a little more effort to get through.
3. Meiko – Leave the Lights On (Krot Remix)
Meiko might strike you as an unusual artist to feature on a workout playlist, but this remix is fantastic for cardio. Use the rhythm to set your pace.
4. Ed Sheeran – Don’t (Don Diablo Remix)
Could not love this remix anymore if I tried. Use it for running. Use it for biking. Use it for dish washing. It’s superb.
5. Oh Wonder – Lose It (Jerry Folk Remix)
End your session with this track for a soothing but upbeat take on the Oh Wonder hit. An ideal accompaniment to mat based sessions.
Hope you’ve enjoyed!
