You have ‘gut’ to try this – One Hundred Shoreditch is championing gut health this autumn by partnering with wellness pioneers, The Gut Stuff for an exciting new series of events and initiates
Gut health has never been so topical. Not only does research show that 1 in 4 of us have digestive issues, but science is now revealing direct links to the gut when it comes to overall health and wellbeing, suggesting that gut health affects absolutely everyone.
Championing all things wellness, One Hundred Shoreditch and The Gut Stuff have teamed up to curate a series of events and initiatives across the hotel, including gut friendly F&B offerings, walking routes accompanied by exclusive podcasts and a series of expert panel discussions. Open to all, these interesting activations aim to help educate guests on the significance of gut health.
The collaboration first kicked off with The Gut stuff hosting a talk ‘Living that Gut Life’ on the 12th of September with epidemiologist Tim Spector, a world-leader in gut microbiome research and director of the British Gut Project.
As part of the ongoing partnership, a series of expert panel discussions called ‘Sofa Series’ will run in the hotel’s 100 Room. The first talk, ‘Gut Basics Combined with Navigating the New World’, will take place on 4th October, and will be hosted by The Gut Stuff’s Lisa Macfarlane and Kristy Coleman.
This will be followed by the discussion ‘Stress and Anxiety Combined with Sleep Routine’ lead by gut expert Dr Rabia and an additional talk hosted by Lisa Macfarlane on 11th November.
Adding to the experience, One Hundred Shoreditch has launched a map of green walking routes throughout the local area in East London, encouraging guests to keep mobile as part of a healthy gut routine. Exclusive podcasts covering stress and anxiety, work-life balance, gut-brain axis, sleep and myth busters from The Gut Stuff will provide the soundtrack to the calming walking routes as explorers take in East London’s incredible street art whilst tuning in.
‘Gut’ news for the foodies, it doesn’t stop there, either. The team at The Gut Stuff have worked closely with One Hundred Shoreditch to create gut friendly F&B offerings for the Coffee Shop and Lobby Bar. Pay a visit to sip on Beetroot and Ginger Kombucha, Strawberry or Lemongrass Kefir mocktails, and tuck into ‘Have a Gut Day’ Granola Pot, ‘Have a Gut Life’ Bun with Sauerkraut, Herby Cream Cheese and Tempeh, or ‘Have a Gut Life’ toastie with roasted mushrooms and kimchi.
