In an effort to help support vulnerable and socially isolated communities during the COVID-19 outbreak, YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP has donated its entire Premier Delivery Service fleet to charity
From couture to charity – vehicles within Net-a-Porter’s Premier Delivery fleet will now serve as volunteered vehicles for seven local Age UK charities in London.
Following the closure of its London site based distribution site, YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP’s Volunteered Vehicles have been donated as a response to the unprecedented level of need, which is challenging charity resources.
The volunteered vehicles will allow charities to fulfil their mission of delivering critical supplies across the following London boroughs: Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham, East London, Enfield, Camden, West London and Lambeth.
The services of these seven Age UK charities benefit older people by preventing malnutrition and ensuring essential upkeep of health and wellbeing, as well as reassuring anxiety of reduced access to food and medicines while staying at home. Designer do good – we like.
The commitment follows a string of initiatives from YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP to help its communities around the world – such as the recent donation of 100 laptops for Italian school children, in response to the Italian Ministry of Education’s call for hardwar.
