I recently visited Brighton for the day with a friend to check out The Lanes (a street of thrifty and vintage-esque stores & stalls that the town offers) over Christmas. As it was a cold day, and I’m a naturally freezing person at the best of times, I decided to layer up and play with colours for a warm but fun Brighton-esque look.
To stay chic (but most importantly, warm) I decided to opt for a black turtleneck top from Topshop, high waisted black ASOS jeans with distressed denim at the knees, Topshop chunky black boots and my new favourite wardrobe addition, a cream Urban Outfitters wool coat.
I paired my clothes with an Oxblood Zara bag, gold midi rings and simple gold Topshop necklace. Voila!
For my makeup, I opted for a simple red theme – Mac Russian Red matte lipstick with additional pencil, Estee Lauder foundation, a small bucket of Soap & Glory concealer to mask the bags under my eyes, S&G eyeliner and lashings of Dior mascara. I emphasised cheekbones with Max Factor blush, and used bronze (my favourite eyelid shade of the month) to bring out the blue of my eyes.
Taaa da. One very warm, very content & very happy girl. What are your favourite ways to stay stylish in the cold weather?
