Dog lovers, this upcoming event at Pergola Paddington is bound to set both tongues and tails wagging. Taking place this Sunday 26th September, join the pup-uler venue for a huge ‘Day of the Dachshund’ party, featuring over 100 of the teeny tiny dog breed.
Hosted at Wunderbar, Pergola Paddington’s very own Oktoberfest pop-up, expect an entire day filled with tasty food and furry friends. Whether you have a Dachshund yourself, or just want to hang out with a few, everyone is welcome – with over 100 of the German ‘doggos’ set to attend.
Decorated with rich reds and greens, bursting with flower-laden barrels and filled with jolly beer drinkers, Wunderbar at Pergola Paddington is a six week pop-up offering guests a Pergola spin on a traditional communal beer-hall, or a more intimate experience in one of its cosy Beer Huts.
From 12pm until late, guests will be able to enjoy some paw-fectly delicious Bavarian food and German beers, including an exclusive Oktoberfest lager, brewed just for Wunderbar by Camden Town Brewery. Dishes will include:
- Knödel, poached and fried potato dumplings served with a beer butter dip
- Bratwurst baguette, a grilled German bratwurst sausage, toasted baguette, caramelised onions, sauerkraut, mustard, chopped pickles and dill. Please note, despite the many pups attending – no sausage dogs will be served!
- Hot Smoked Salmon Flammkuchen to share
Furry friends won’t go hungry either with an endless supply of doggy beer and bones. Adding a fun competitive spirit to the day, owners and fur children can also enter a ‘Best Dressed’ competition, where the best dressed Dachshund and owner will be crowned chomp-ian.
