Complete with a heated rooftop running track, sauna and gym, Scandic has just opened The Dock 69°39 by Scandic, a new wellness-filled hotel in Tromsø. Here’s all the rejuvenating details…
Scandic has just launched its sixth signature hotel, The Dock 69°39 by Scandic, in Tromsø, Norway. The new hotel features 305 rooms, expanding Scandic’s total room count in the city to nearly 700 – and it’s a wellness dream.
This development nearly doubles the company’s presence in Tromsø, where it already operates two hotels with a combined total of 390 rooms.

The Dock 69°39 by Scandic is located in the Vervet district and spans 12 floors with a total area of 17,300 square meters. The hotel includes a rooftop bar, a wellness area with a sauna, and the Upper Dock Brasserie & Bar located on the 10th floor.
What’s more, there are plenty of sustainability features to discover, including carpets made from recycled fishing nets and a heated rooftop running track designed for year-round use. It is certified by the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and built according to the BREEAM Excellent environmental certification standards.

The Dock 69°39 by Scandic is Scandic’s third signature hotel in Norway. Other signature hotels in the company’s portfolio include Hotel Norge by Scandic in Bergen and Grand Hotel Oslo by Scandic in Norway, as well as Downtown Camper by Scandic and Haymarket by Scandic in Sweden, and Marski by Scandic in Finland.
