Head to HUMO this September for a rare four-hands dinner with outstanding Brazilian chef Tássia Magalhães and HUMO’s Executive Chef Miller Prada
If you’re a fine dining lover, it’s time to grab a fork. HUMO, the Michelin-starred wood fire restaurant in the heart of Mayfair, is set to stage a very special four-hands dinner on Wednesday 18th September.
Executive Chef at HUMO, Miller Prada, will be showing his Colombian heritage through his cooking and will be joined by Tássia Magalhães, the mastermind behind women-led Brazilian restaurant Nelita, for a dinner showcasing the work of two incredibly talented South American Chefs, paired with The Glenrothes’ exceptional single malt whiskies.

Directly translated as ‘smoke’ in Spanish, HUMO, revolves around a four-metre long grill, with no electricity or gas. All dishes are prepared using a selection of widely sourced woods, all used to cook with and to impart subtle flavour differences to each of the dishes.
The cooking techniques used for this culinary collaboration will be no different with smoke being a key component of the menu, but will consist of dishes created by Tássia Magalhães and Miller Prada, drawing inspiration from both Colombia and Brazil as well as their own restaurant concepts.

After graduating aged 19, São Paulo native Magalhães began her career at Italian restaurant Pomodori before completing stages in European restaurants including Kadeau, Amass and World’s Best Restaurant 2022 Geranium. She was named one of Forbes Brazil’s 30 under 30 in 2015 and in 2022 was named Chef of the Year by Prazeres da Mesa.
Behind the beautiful pistachio-green façade in São Paulo’s Pinheiros neighbourhood, Tássia Magalhães and her women-led team, work their culinary magic. While pasta is the star of the show, there’s equal attention to other dishes as well as a diverse selection of cocktails and wines.
Miller meanwhile was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, where his passion for cooking began in his family kitchen, with his grandmother and great aunt. Influenced by his family farm, he cherished social gatherings always centred around good food.
After leaving Colombia, Miller lived in six different cities worldwide, including Sydney, Hong Kong, Miami, Lima, Dubai, and London, which has allowed him to explore a whole host of different cuisines and culinary experiences.

With HUMO drawing inspiration from Executive Chef Miller Prada’s Colombian heritage, the 34-seater restaurant is the perfect stage for both chefs to come together and showcase the influences behind their exceptional careers in fine dining.
To enhance this one of a kind culinary moment, diners can opt for the tasting menu paired with The Glenrothes, a range of bright, fruity and elegant high-aged single malt scotch whisky, slowly distilled in exceptionally tall stills, and then aged in custom made, sherry-seasoned oak casks from bodegas in Spain.
