Celebrate the magic of The RHS Chelsea Flower Show this month with Daphne’s limited-edition experience. The South Kensington haunt has partnered with distinguished event designer, Fiona Leahy and Malfy Gin to create an enchanting tablescape takeover on the terrace, available for one-week-only from Monday, 20 September to Sunday, 26 September.
As well as this, the restaurant will be revealing an autumnal floral installation as well as a delectable limited-edition Malfy Gin cocktail menu for guests to sip, savour and enjoy throughout the month.
In an ode to the Chelsea Flower Show and inspiration from Malfy Rosa’s Gin, Daphne’s recently refurbished terrace has been adorned with beautifully block printed floral tablecloths, matching napkins, floral hand painted plates, floral centrepieces and lamp shades, all in keeping with autumn hues, flora and fauna.
The print is by acclaimed British print designer Molly Mahon. Guests dining on the terrace will also be able to enjoy a back-drop of striking blooms, as an installation featuring lavender, hollyhocks and cosmos will also take over the terrace space, creating an oasis of calm in the heart of Chelsea.
There’s also plenty of tantalising sips on offer. The bar team at Daphne’s have worked alongside Malfy Gin to create a new and refreshing menu of delicious tipples, including the Aromatico (£12.00), featuring a blend of Malfy Gin Rosa, orange bitters and aromatic tonic, the Cantalupo (£12.00), incorporating Malfy Gin Blood Orange, lime juice, sugar and melon, and the Leggero (£12.00), with Malfy Gin Lemon, lemon juice, sugar, lemonade and bitter lemon. Available both outside on the terrace and insider for chillier autumn days, it’s ideal for a taste of idyllic Italian sunshine.
Alongside a delicious array of cocktails, diners will be able to sit back and indulge in a series of Italian favourites including octopus carpaccio with pickled fennel and datterini tomato, spaghetti with clams, chilli and white wine, spring mixed vegetable risotto with parmesan, whole roast sea bream with herbs and lemon, and for those with a sweet tooth, a sumptuous chocolate mousse with Maraschino cherries.
