Cheval Phoenix House To Reopen Following 15-Month Extensive Refurbishment

Citycation, anyone? After undergoing a 15-month comprehensive refurbishment, the iconic Chelsea property will open once more to guests this July

Cheval Collection, one of the UK’s leading brands for luxury serviced apartments, has announced the reopening of its Chelsea property, Cheval Phoenix House.

The boutique residence is due to reopen on 1 July 2024 after undergoing a full-scale 15-month-long refurbishment, involving a total reconfiguration of all apartments, extensive upgrades to fixtures and fittings, and complete modernisation of the interior design.

Located a three-minute walk from Sloane Square, Cheval Phoenix House will offer guests convenience and comfort when staying in one of its 34 contemporary apartments.

The boutique residence consists of studios, one and two-bedroom apartments, all of which have been completely redesigned as part of the refurbishment project. The new design improves each apartment’s flow and brings an enhanced sense of space whilst upgrades to the fixtures and fittings within ensure maximum functionality, increased sustainability, and effortless style.

Each apartment has a fully equipped modern kitchen, increased wardrobe space and updated water, electricity, and heating systems (including intelligent lighting), all of which meet the brand’s upgraded sustainability standards.

Inspired by its iconic location in the elegant Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, each apartment is minimalist and modern with contemporary décor, including bespoke artwork.

The refurbishment also aligns with a wider rejuvenation project taking place on Sloane Street, where Cadogan and Kensington & Chelsea Council are funding a multi-million-pound public realm transformation programme with the aim of making it the number one destination in the world for luxury shopping.

Improvements include enhanced pedestrian experience, increased greenery, improved traffic flows and upgraded broadband, and are due for completion in December 2024.

Whether travelling for business or leisure, the property offers something for all guests – with its contemporary apartments, 24-hour front office team, and facilities such asan onsite fitness centre – to provide a calm and private urban sanctuary.

The reopening of Cheval Phoenix House comes as part of a wider initiative by the award-winning hospitality group which is aimed at ensuring that every property in its portfolio – which consists of 13 luxury all-apartment residences across London, Edinburgh, and Dubai – continues to fulfil its rigorous brand standards.

Ben Pires, General Manager of Cheval Phoenix House, added: “The newly refurbished Cheval Phoenix House will offer guests a contemporary haven on Sloane Street – an area currently undergoing its very own rejuvenation programme to ensure it is one of the top destinations for luxury shopping. When open, guests will be able to enjoy the property’s state-of-the-art interiors and fantastic location as well as our high standard of service which reflects over 40 years of experience in luxury hospitality.

Mohammed S. Alawadhi, Managing Director for Cheval Collection, commented: “As the brand grows with the opening of our first international property last year and a second, Cheval Maison – Expo City Dubai, planned for 2025, we continue to invest in our flagship properties. The reopening of Cheval Phoenix House illustrates Cheval Collection’s ongoing commitment to evolving and providing our discerning guests with luxury serviced apartments of the highest standard.”
