Tewinbury Farm Hotel Expands in Hertfordshire To Launch New Wellness Concept

Tewinbury Farm Hotel, an idyllic countryside retreat just 30 minutes from London, is reimagining the rural escape with the launch of Farm Club – a new concept blending wellness, workouts and co-working

Rural reformer, anyone? Launching this June at the award-winning Tewinbury Farm Hotel, Farm Club will include a functional fitness gym and training yard, reformer Pilates studio, and sauna and ice therapy all set within 700 acres of rolling Hertfordshire countryside.

The brand new concept blends fitness, wellness and flexible working, inviting hotel guests and day-trippers to spend a few restorative hours or settle in for the day to discover four distinct spaces.

Farm Fitness

Leading the fitness offering is Farm Fitness, founded by Tom Kemp, which began on a working farm in Essex with a simple idea: take training out of the gym and back into the outdoors. Now arriving at Tewinbury as its first new site, it brings a refreshing, back-to-basics approach to strength and conditioning.

Blending strongman training, functional fitness and conditioning, sessions are designed around natural, purposeful movement – accessible, effective and rooted in real-world strength. Guests can expect a mix of training and dynamic group classes, including:

  • Farm Fit: Low-skill, high-impact functional movements combined with metabolic conditioning to build strength, stamina and overall fitness
  • Yard Work: A full-body workout set in the farmyard, combining strength and conditioning in an immersive outdoor environment
  • Function: A hybrid of functional fitness and bodybuilding, designed to transform how your body looks, moves and feels
  • Engine: A focused 30–40 minute cardio session built to improve endurance and aerobic capacity

Reformer Pilates by Studio 281

Get ready to stretch. Bringing a more mindful pace to the Farm Club experience, Studio 281 introduces its signature reformer Pilates offering to the countryside.

Founded in 2017 by Georgia Testa and her mother, the boutique studio has built a loyal following across Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. At Tewinbury, guests can enjoy small, intimate classes designed to foster a deeper connection between instructor and participant.

With nine state-of-the-art reformer beds, sessions offer a low-impact yet highly effective full-body workout, improving strength, flexibility, posture and core stability,  all within a calm, beautifully designed studio space.

Sauna and Ice Therapy

Rest is just as important as the movement itself. For those seeking recovery and restoration, experience the powerful recovery method that alternates between extreme heat and cold to boost circulation, reduce inflammation, alleviate muscle soreness and enhance overall mood.

Farm Club will feature four ice baths and a large sauna, the ideal dose of contrast therapy. Whether winding down after a workout or simply embracing the ritual, it offers a moment of stillness within the wider energy of the farm.

Farm Club Hub

Work it. At the heart of the concept is the Farm Club Hub, designed for regular visitors looking to fully immerse themselves in the Tewinbury lifestyle. Members benefit from exclusive access to The Stable, a dedicated members’ space, alongside a curated calendar of experiences including art tours, wine tastings and seasonal festivals. Preferential bedroom rates also make it easier to extend a day visit into a countryside stay.

Memberships

Each section has its own membership, so customers can choose one or combine memberships. Prices start from £90 a month. Hotel guests can enjoy complimentary access to the open gym, with classes and specialist sessions available to book separately.

Located in the breathtaking Hertfordshire countryside, and just 30 minutes outside London via train, Tewinbury Farm Hotel is a luxury retreat where rustic charm meets modern indulgence. As a working farm with deep-rooted heritage, it offers an unparalleled escape for guests, from weekend travellers and engaged couples to corporate teams and event planners.

The accommodation blends history and elegance, featuring beautifully restored 17th-century buildings, boutique hotel rooms, and charming luxury huts and lodges. Culinary excellence is at the heart of the experience, with four distinctive restaurants and bars showcasing farm-to-fork dining.
