Show me the money. With rooms themed around all things capital, the vibrancy and creativity at nhow Frankfurt turns a standard hotel stay into a full-on adventure before you’ve even started exploring the city around you. Editor Sophie Ritchie checks in to this German ka-ching-inspired stay to share more…
If you’ve not yet been to Frankfurt, it’s time to book your flight. Perched on the river Main in Germany, it’s a global financial hub that’s home to the European Central Bank – as well as one of the largest airports in Europe. A city of vast contrasts, it’s known for its melting pot of cultures and juxtapositions of modernity and tradition on almost every street corner.
Ideal for a weekend of cosmopolitan city adventures, the 4-star nhow Frankfurt is located just a 15-minute transfer away from the city’s airport – and makes an ideal base when it comes to experiencing the neatly-organised jungle of Frankfurt’s museums, art galleries, shops and restaurants. Part of the wider nhow brand, with trendy locations in London, Berlin, Milan, Lima and more, this modern stay is filled with vibrant furnishings (including a wow-evoking spiral staircase in its lobby) plus contemporary details and statement artwork galore.

The first thing to notice about nhow Frankfurt is its impressive height – housed within the ”CA Immo” skyscraper, the bottom half of this towering building serves as the design-led hotel, whilst the top part functions as office space.

At the pinnacle, on the vertigo-inducing 47th floor, awaits nhow Frankfurt’s NFT Skybar – the highest rooftop venue in all of Germany. It’s truly only up from here – this sleek rooftop venue offers sultry interiors and incredible panoramic views across the city, as well as an innovative new cocktail menu with matching NFT to-boot.

With a prime location just a short stroll from the main Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof train station (as well as easy access tram links for getting around) this sky scraper stay somehow blends in perfectly to its surroundings.
The Room

Serving up views that sweep across the surrounding cityscape of Frankfurt, these design-led abodes are a feast for all the senses. From my own suite’s perch, I watch the city go about its business like a bird observing the surroundings.
Light, airy, modern and ultra comfortable – this is the kind of base that leaves you debating whether it’s worth leaving the hotel. Wooden flooring and industrial concrete ceilings provide the foundation – but it’s the vibrant artwork and pops of colour from the coasters and branded toiletries that bring it to life and give the property its statement nhow feel from the moment you step inside.
Interiors-wise, this ambience is drenched with creativity – featuring a blend of artwork courtesy of David Zuker and interiors from the Rafael de La-Hoz studio. Nhow Frankfurt features three colour schemes across its room categories – pink, blue and green. Mine is based upon the Euro, with a mural behind the bed featuring an all blue array that delves into the concept of money and power.
Zuker’s artwork is a not-so-subtle criticism of capitalism (several key figures sit ablaze or with devil horns on the mural) but also a homage to what makes Frankfurt what it is – a city that swirls around the power of currencies and trade.
Not only ultra modern, my large suite is filled with thoughtful touches that transform it from a traditional hotel room into a full on adventure. Packed full of details and hidden things to discover, whether it’s a drawer that reveals a fancy Nespresso machine, a fluffy bathrobe or simply a thoughtful lip balm to keep you feeling tip top after a day of traveling, this is a luxuriously contemporary space that feels rather fun.
Even the work desks in these suites come with a serious view – I tap to the rhythm of the city traffic below me as I answer emails and check back in with reality. Topped off with a giant bed, my abode has ample places to simply sit and drink in the cityscape views, which are the real jewel of the hotel.
The Food & drink

Served on the first floor, breakfast at the hotel is a buffet bonanza – showcasing station after station of hot and cold options in typical nhow fashion. With plenty of choices, including numerous authentic Germanic options (I’ve never seen so much salami in one place) there are a variety of hot options too – I even order a customised omelette for a little treat and get thoroughly stuck in, washed down with some fresh juice. For those feeling more peckish, the wider selection of sweet treats, bagels, meats, yoghurts and other options are enough to keep you going for the entire day.

Step into the tech-enriched lift and swoop upwards to the 47th floor for a cocktail in the clouds. The venue has recently launched an innovative new cocktail menu, designed to tap into emerging cocktail trends of 2025. Decadent and delicious (much like the chic interiors surrounding you) the tipples range from refreshing twists on classic cocktails to extravagant, interactive and multi-sensory masterpieces. Whether you’re a hardened whisky fan or prefer something delicately fruity, the lineup features a creative mix worth pulling up a stool for.

Adding to the ambience, nhow Frankfurt has recently paired the cocktails – not with food – but an exclusive NFT collection. Building on the success of the inaugural 2022 collection, the NFT series Daydream Trip is created by renowned digital and experimental artist David Zuker (the same talented brain behind the room’s statement artwork). In addition to owning one of the limited-edition 30 digital artworks, those who make a purchase can also enjoy exciting perks that, rather ironically, money can’t buy: a one year priority access to the popular bar where queues come as standard and a one-off complimentary cocktail.
Things to do: Frankfurt

Go exploring: Nhow’s city centre location makes it ideal for exploring the local area, which is full of shops and well-heeled city workers. The main Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof train station is just a ten minute walk but there’s also the handy tram just a stone’s throw away, which makes getting around even more convenient.
Frankfurt itself is a very walkable city, built with a grid-like system and skyscrapers that have earned the city its miniature New York nickname “Mainhatten.”
Wordrobe wellness: If you’re a fitness freak, Frankfurt has plenty to keep you busy. As well as a hotel gym kitted out with state-of-the-art TechnoGym equipment, there’s also a David Lloyd health club located next door for those that fancy a spa or pool session. I spot fitness classes galore during my city strolls and of course, a new city always offers the chance to run somewhere completely different. Just be wary of the numerous traffic lights on almost every corner before starting your Strava!
Live like a VIP: For those booking a more premium room, these abodes come with an added perk in the form of access to an exclusive VIP room – where snacks, drinks and further places to lounge can be enjoyed 24/7 with a simple key swipe.
The Wordrobe verdict

Nhow Frankfurt is contemporary to the core and keeping up with the times – whether that’s a food trend or a travel one. Travelers here can not only stay in the night in a comfortable bed but keep on top of their wellness routines, relax in the sauna or simply drink in the rooftop ambience.
This modern hotel is fun, playful and designed to offer everything required for a city adventure. With so much vibrancy and creativity surrounding you from the moment you step across the lobby threshold, nhow Frankfurt turns a standard hotel stay into a full on adventure before you’ve even started exploring the city around you.
