Calling all gourmands. Taking place on 29th November, The Petersham in Covent Garden is hosting an exclusive evening with Michelin-starred chef Giancarlo Morelli, presenting a one-night-only tasting menu that blends his celebrated Italian heritage with a modern, sustainable approach to fine dining.
Diners will enjoy a carefully curated menu that showcases Chef Morelli’s signature no-waste philosophy, using ingredients that reflect his deep connection to the land. Known for his imaginative yet authentic style, Morelli draws inspiration from his childhood in Bergamo, blending simplicity with sophistication to create both comforting and refined dishes.
Devour a selection of Morelli’s iconic dishes, including Carnaroli Rice with Smoked Buffalo Ricotta, Red Prawn Tartare, and Black Truffle, alongside his Bergamasque-Style Casoncelli and Veal Shank with Saffron Sauce. The evening will conclude with Pomiroeu’s Tiramisu, a nod to Morelli’s Michelin-starred restaurant in Brianza.
Chef Giancarlo Morelli is a celebrated figure in international haute cuisine, holding a Michelin star for his restaurant Pomiroeu in Seregno. His career spans decades, with training in prestigious kitchens across the globe, including mentorship under legendary chefs such as Troisgros and Loiseau. Known for his innovative take on Italian classics and pioneering work in no-waste cooking, Morelli has earned a reputation as one of Italy’s most forward-thinking chefs.
Chef Morelli’s ethos of respecting nature and using ingredients to their fullest perfectly complements The Petersham’s focus on sustainability and seasonality, with many ingredients sourced from the restaurant’s own Haye Farm in Devon. The collaboration will be a unique evening of culinary exploration, where Italian craftsmanship and high-quality British produce come together in harmony.
