Sleekly contemporary, spacious and full of chic serenity – Hilton Lake Como is perfect for the traveler seeking a modern hotel offering excellent amenities and present-day design, all whilst enjoying the traditional romanticism of Como
Perched out of the main action but situated well within walking distance to Como’s bustling centre, four-star Hilton Lake Como provides a dreamy setting for your Italian escapade – whether that’s with family, friends or someone special.
Strikingly modern within despite keeping the building’s original exterior, Hilton Lake Como is flooded with natural light and exudes an air of luxury from the moment you walk over its gleaming threshold. Highly popular with tourists (and Italian locals alike thanks to its ultra chic rooftop Terrazza 241 lounge bar) this contemporary hotel is as much a place to see and be seen as it is to relax.

The former site of a textile mill, you’ll find many hidden motifs ‘woven’ into aspects of the property, all of which pay homage to the original building’s purpose and also the owners’ own origins. Ranging from silk pillows in the lobby through to inspired artwork hung upon the 170 rooms’ walls, small details subtly merge old with the new.
It might be part of the wider Hilton family, but that doesn’t mean this hotel isn’t brimming with its own individual flair and charm, aided mainly by the incredible team in charge of the day-to-day operations. There’s no unwarranted stuffiness here, only friendly smiles and eager attitudes.

Opened in 2019, this property is also full of enriching wellness experiences. From its shimmering rooftop infinity pool through to its spacious eforea spa decked out with a Finnish sauna, whirlpool stations, Turkish bath, indoor pool and relaxation room, book your slot and meander through the different rooms. With oodles of natural light filtering through the modern space, prepare to don a robe and vow never to take it off.
There are also regular yoga sessions for guests to try out – plus a small on-site gym kitted out with TechnoGym machines if you feel like sweating off that second helping of tiramisu.

Up the pampering ante by booking a spa treatment – recent additions include the Soothing Facial for sensitive skin, incorporating jade stones to reshape the skin and relieve irritation caused by cold weather, and the Head and Foot Massage, increasing mobility and flexibility and improving blood circulation to eliminate toxins.
For those with a holistic side, the Head in the Stars Reiki ASMR experience is also available – where the therapists use ASMR expertly in combination with Reiki, using soft murmuring voices and quiet repetitive sounds in tandem with soothing hand motions and guided meditation, resulting in ultra-relaxation.
The Room

The 170 rooms at Hilton Lake Como provide everything required for a place of respite and relaxation, especially after a day of intrepid exploring. My fifth floor room is clean and modern in design, leading a guest into the large abode with a sleek wood panel-lined hallway, from which a vast bathroom complete with bath and walk-in shower also stems.
Spacious and serene, there’s a sense of soothing calm after shutting the door. In terms of color tones, think muted palettes – soft greys, crisp whites, burgundy and hints of chocolate all offset the vibrant world beyond the windows.
Back in the bathroom, make the most of the range of full-sized toiletries, soft flattering lighting and powerful walk-in shower when it comes to a little glam time.
Whilst the double bed is large and the Nespresso machine is fully-functioning, the jewel of this abode is undeniably the view – the curtains draw back to reveal a truly spectacular view across the property and beyond, where the mesmerising lake beckons to be explored.
The Food & Drink

Packed to the rafters regardless of the season, Terrazza 241, the restaurant and lounge bar on the exclusive rooftop of Hilton Lake Como, is an IT spot for Lake Como. Stylish and glamorous, the rooftop bar is open all year-round – serving a selection of innovative, thoughtful cocktails (complete with complimentary aperitivo snacks of course) and a menu mingling Italian and international cuisine. In busy summer months, expect to fight for a seat on the outside panoramic terraces – although we assure you the views are surely worth it.
With a lavishly contemporary design and floor-to-ceiling sliding windows designed to showcase these coveted views, the bar can be enjoyed year-round. And whilst there’s a clear sense of suaveness at Hilton Lake Como, expect nothing but kindness and a welcoming nature from the team here.
Breakfast meanwhile, is served sunny side up at ground floor Satin, set within an equally modern space and offering guests a mouth-watering buffet room literally lined with goodies. Freshly-baked breads, naughty pastries bursting with cream, hot food stations and fresh fruit bowls can be devoured at leisure. There are also additional a la carte options too, for those feeling extra peckish.
The Wordrobe Verdict

There’s only one question left to ask yourself – when can I Como again?
