London’s only agaveria Hacha Bar has partnered with the world’s most awarded mezcal in 2021, The Lost Explorer Mezcal.  Ideal for those looking to learn more about this delicious concoction, Hacha founder and agave expert Deano Moncrieffe will treat guests to a truly unique experience guiding them through The Lost Explorer Mezcal’s journey of the Mezcal Margarita with his iconic and award-winning Mirror Margarita.

 Book a ticket to enjoy three rare and exclusive Mirror Margaritas, all with different flavour profiles but perfectly balanced and crystal-clear in clarity, as well as specially created canapés. Deano will create the cocktails using each of The Lost Explorer Mezcal’s three expressions, Espadín, Tobalá and Salmiana, which will be accompanied by a sipping experience of each variety.

3 Devour this: special tasting menus with Hacha Brixton




Ideal for foodies, at Hacha Brixton guests can take a journey through the ages of the classic cocktail with a specially curated tasting menu with influenced light bites from the 22nd February until the last Saturday of the month. 

 The menu will include a selection of traditional Mexican light bites such as Black Bean Quesadillas and  Chilli Mexican Picadillo which will each be paired with variations of the Margarita. Try the tasting menu at Mirror Margarita bottle shop, located downstairs at Hacha Brixton.

Upstairs, the party’s just getting started – the Agaveria at Hacha Brixton will be host to the Patrón Pop Up Record Shop – an exclusive  month-long activation with Patrón Tequila. Kicking off on Margarita Day (22nd February) guests will be  able to enjoy a selection of bespoke Patrón cocktails, alongside a host of live DJs, for a special month of all things Margaritas and music.

6 Plan ahead: London’s La Piñata festival 




An all out agave celebration, La Piñata will take place in celebration of Cinco de Mayo on 7th May 2022 with a plethora of nectars. 

The only specialist tequila and mezcal show in the UK, following last year’s stellar inaugural event, La Piñata 2022 is set to be a bigger and better celebration of Agave spirits, Mexican culture and an opportunity to taste a diverse range of Tequila and Mezcal side by side. 

With over 20 producers set to talk visitors through their ranges of tequila and mezcal, the 2022 show will see the addition of a bar serving refreshing Palomas and Margaritas along with a Street Food market offering the very best Mexican and Latin American food to enjoy alongside delicious agave spirits and live entertainment. Exhibitors include The Lost Explorer Mezcal, Dangerous Don Mezcal, Cazcabel Tequila and Vivir Tequila. 

This year, La Piñata have partnered with London Mezcal Week founders, Thea Cumming and Melanie Symonds, who will be running and hosting all masterclasses at the festival, where they will be diving deeper into the subject and appreciation of mezcal.
