The Franklin London, part of Starhotels Collezione, has announced its collaboration with award-winning Italian lighting designer SLAMP, to celebrate the brand’s 30th anniversary and their new additions to this year’s London Design Festival.
To mark the partnership between the luxury hotel and SLAMP, both of which are beacons of Italian design, guests are invited to an evening where the art of fine dining meets the brilliance of bespoke lighting.
On 17th September, an exclusive four-course culinary experience, created by Italian Michelin-starred Chef Alfredo Russo from Torino, will celebrate his inventive and authentic Italian cuisine, that seamlessly blends luxury design with gastronomic excellence, while enjoying SLAMP’s unique pieces.
SLAMP, with its newly opened UK flagship store in Knightsbridge, is renowned for its dedication to creating innovative lighting solutions with the craftsmanship of Italian artisans.
The company’s philosophy revolves around transforming ideas into evocative and accessible objects of decorative art. Each SLAMP creation is crafted using unique, patented materials and is the result of a meticulous production process that fuses cutting-edge technology with 100% traditional handcrafting techniques.
Much like the light, moving beyond the expected, the exclusive menu for the evening will be similarly evocative and unexpected: a bespoke cocktail and dedicated canapés followed by four gourmet courses will each be illuminated by the glow and poetry of a 100% handcrafted lamp from SLAMP’s collection, creating a characteristic dining atmosphere.
SLAMP’s most iconic battery lamp designs – from their imaginative Tulip or Clizia lamps to the unique Lafleur or Accordeon models – will be paired with delicious culinary creations by Chef Alfredo Russo like Baked Mezze Maniche Pasta with Goats’ Cheese Foam & Black Truffle and Salt-Baked Beetroot Flower with Smoked Almonds & Pear, to mention just a few.
