The 5 Best Hotels In Paris

The Wordrobe’s founder Sophie Ritchie shares the details on where to find a little French fancy

Three years ago now, at the tender age of 22, I handed in my notice at my PR job and took off on a whirlwind adventure around Europe. The first stop on my trip was Paris – a city that stole my heart entirely.

It’s a city full of suaveness, charm and of course, chic hotels. Here’s a few of my favourite Parisian hotels to check out (and check into) for a weekend full of French fancy.

1 The Westin Paris – Vendôme

This sleek hotel is full of relaxing tick boxes. From its Six Senses spa with an array of treatments to spaciously high-ceilinged rooms, it’s ideal for those who come to Paris with chilling out on the agenda. Opt for a Junior Suite to enjoy a room with a panoramic view of the city.

2 Hôtel Plaza Athénée

Lavish, luxurious and utterly lust-worthy – any Parisian-in-training should book a stay at the Plaza Athénée, one of the world’s most distinguished hotels. From ruby red window awnings to unrivalled views, this stunning property demands to be enjoyed.

Plus, with the addition of a three Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse restaurant, it’s ideal for the foodies too.

3 The Nolinski

If you’re after something with a more minimalist feel, the Nolinksi hotel has it covered. Located on the popular Avenue de l’Opéra, the building’s interiors offer simple, yet elegant designs by Jean Louis Deniot. Take time to stroll through the Palais Royale gardens, or just have a drink and mingle with locals at the Brasserie Rejane.

4 Villa du Square

This Parisian guesthouse is ideal for the creative souls. Book a stay to revel in fine art and a beautiful garden during your getaway. It’s sumptuously simple, and simply wonderful if you’re in need of space and serenity – even in a city as bustling as Paris.

5 The San Régis hotel

Ideally located in the Champs Elysées district, at the crossroads of culture and fashion, the San Régis hotel has been welcoming guests since the 19th century. An elegant facade and lavish interiors create a unique atmosphere paired with the finest modern amenities. It’s grand, it’s decadent and it’s everything that fashionable Paris stands for.
