1 Devour Wimbledon Afternoon Tea at The Dorchester


If tradition’s your cup of tea, The Dorchester is serving its annual Wimbledon Afternoon Tea at The Promenade for the duration of the tournament. Executive chef Henry Brosi and his award-winning pastry team have created exclusive pastries for the occasion, including the Wimbledon Tennis Sponge – made with Lemon verbena, strawberry, white chocolate and cream ganache.

Wash it down with a glass of Champagne, as well as traditional strawberries and cream, finger sandwiches and homemade scones.

2 Enjoy summery desserts at aqua shard

aqua shard is celebrating the spirit of Wimbledon with a special dessert and cocktail. Inspired by the quintessential British summer dessert, strawberries and cream, the cocktail and dessert are available in the restaurant when you dine.

The Wimbledon cocktail is a concoction of Pimm’s, white chocolate liqueur, strawberry compote and topped with lemonade for £14. Those with a sweet tooth can try the Wimbledon dessert made with strawberry pavlova, Champagne sorbet, heirloom strawberries and oat crumble for £9.50.

3 Satisfy your sweet tooth at 34 Mayfair

Guests can enjoy the Game, Set, Gin dessert, made up of fresh strawberries with Jersey cream, topped with chocolate tennis balls and filled with gin and tonic jelly, for £10.

4 Try tennis-themed tea at Down Hall Hotel & Spa

Enjoy a special edition tennis-themed afternoon tea on Down Hall’s newly launched terrace from just £30 per person. Served on the outdoor terrace or in the comfortable lounge, tuck into warm buttermilk scones with Devonshire clotted cream and Tiptree preserves alongside finger sandwiches with decadent fillings such as smoked salmon and beetroot crème fraiche, honey roast ham with wholegrain mustard, and pulled pork brioche.

Finish up with a round of luxury, Wimbledon-inspired puddings including Pimm’s cheesecake, pistachio and vanilla Battenberg and a limited edition white chocolate mousse tennis ball. To drink, sip on a selection of premium teas, or add a glass of Pimm’s for an additional £5.

What’s more – the experience includes complimentary use of the tennis courts. Get ready to serve!

5 Cocktails at Conrad London St James


Conrad London St James will be serving a Wimbledon inspired cocktail in the Boar Bar. Top Spin is a fruity blend of vodka, peach, Pimm’s, lime, orange and ginger ale, the perfect refreshment to enjoy whilst watching the Championship on the bars screens.

Meanwhile in Emmeline’s Lounge, the five-star hotel’s traditional afternoon tea will include a special Wimbledon fancy in the shape of a tennis ball. This delicate treat has a sweet pastry case with a coconut filling, topped with a layer of mango gel, a Malibu and coconut mousse and finished with a white chocolate coating. Enjoy it alongside the edible offering from just £35 per person.

6 Get into the swing of Wimbledon with al fresco screenings at The Coral Garden

Visit The Coral Garden to watch all the action live on a big screen, whilst enjoying a special offering of traditional strawberries and cream. This will be available throughout the duration of the tournament for £7 or complimentary with any bottle of sparkling wine.

The strawberries, all grown in the Home Counties, have been hand selected from the New Covent Garden Market and can be enjoyed alongside indulgent Cotteswold Dairy clotted cream from Cheltenham – uniquely served on vintage tennis rackets!

7 ‘The Perfect Serve’ Afternoon Tea at The Arch London


For something elegant, the boutique Marylebone hotel is offering an exclusive Wimbledon Afternoon Tea, including: 
Gingerbread tennis rackets; a Centre Court Almond financier cake; and an Orange and lemon tennis ball mousse.

The tea is complete with warm baked scones and classical British sandwiches. Served in the Martini Library, the tea is priced at £29.95, or £39.95 with a glass of Taittinger Brut Reserve or a Pimm’s cocktail.

8 Eccleston Yards Wimbledon Pop-Up by Tart London


Eccleston Place, the first permanent venture by catering duo Tart London, will open for an exclusive Wimbledon pop-up in the newly developed Eccleston Yards, ahead of the official opening in late summer 2018.

Sink your teeth into fresh Smoothies; seasonally topped Bruschetta and refreshing Gazpachos, as well as British favourite Strawberries and Cream. Rum Runner will be serving cocktails and Pimm’s from the iconic airstream truck.

There will also be a big screen displaying the full schedule of Wimbledon matches alongside plenty of deck chairs.

9 Sip on wine pairings at Friarwood Wimbledon and Parsons Green


Friarwood stores in Wimbledon and Parsons Green will be offering a complimentary wine pairing service throughout the tennis tournament.

Nip into either boutique’s fine wine stores and the experts will tailor the perfect bottle of wine to match your picnic – best enjoyed on Murray Mound.

10 Bloom with 108 Brasserie

The doors of 108 Brasserie have been adorned with a lavish floral installation by FlowerBx. Enjoy a heavenly combination of English country garden flowers including Pale Pink Garden Roses, Primrose Pink Peonies and Cloud White Hydrangeas will be arranged in an elegant and undulating archway of high summer blooms; transporting guests to the idyllic and picturesque English countryside as they enter and leave 108 Brasserie.

If you’re peckish, 108 Brasserie will also be serving a Pimm’s Jelly (£3) and a Special Wimbledon Cocktail (£12) throughout the tournament.
