This February, head to the New Forest for a special foodie event with the talented Melissa Hemsley at Burley Manor


Start the New Year in style. The team at Burley Manor are hosting an event that brings together guests and locals during an engaging afternoon of great conversation, drink and a delicious menu designed by Melissa Hemsley herself.

Cook, writer and champion of sourcing sustainable and nourishing recipes, Melissa started off her career as a private chef with her sister, Jasmine in 2010.

After several successful years cooking many a nourishing, wholesome meals for international actors and musicians, the duo published two best-selling Hemsley+Hemsley cookery books and opened a café in Selfridges, London. 

A primetime cookery show followed, as well as lots of appearances on Sunday Brunch, Saturday Kitchen and This Morning, and at food festivals across the globe.

Today, Melissa has gone on to release a  bestselling solo cookbook, ‘Eat Happy’, and is releasing a new cookbook, ‘Eat Green’, this month.

Ideal for feasting in a more sustainable fashion, the new book celebrates vegetables as the star ingredient, with simple swaps included – meaning that meat and fish can be added in or taken away, so everyone can enjoy a delicious meal.

The lunch with Melissa will provide an opportunity for Burley Manor’s guests to hear all about Melissa herself,  her love for good sustainable food and the release of Eat Green. The afternoon will also include a Q&A where guests will have the chance to ask Melissa their own questions.

This insightful discussion will be followed by canapés and a delicious two-course lunch menu inspired by Melissa’s latest recipes for the season.
