Everyone seems to be downsizing their bags as of late – gone are the clunky holdalls and oversized totes of the past. Instead, mini bags are everywhere. Tiny versions of the traditional styles are one of the latest accessory trends – in fact, it’s a style trend that’s been popping up on arms since early spring.
Today, I’m wearing the trend with this simple yet chic Guess number. It’s big enough to fit my phone, a small purse and one or two lipglosses – and that’s about it.
The mini bag is a tough one to crack – you have to dress around it, otherwise you can end up looking silly. Pair it with simple dresses, or laidback looks such as jeans and and crisp shirts to crack it. Avoid overdressing at all costs.
Small bags are great for evenings out or simple coffee meetings – but they’re pretty impractical for everyday life. I prefer the old kitchen sink number – I’m not one for just taking the essentials.
Regardless, this little bag is beautiful – and perfect for an afternoon spent strolling around a little Sussex town with my sister.
Hope you’ve enjoyed!
