There’s a Robert Frost quote that I think everyone should read at least once.
“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I – I took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference.”
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with doing things differently in life. The idea of being exactly like everyone else – wearing the same clothes, doing the same things, following the same patterns – seems absolutely absurd.
On paper, I suppose my life has been pretty unconventional at times. But I think that’s really helped me be my own independent person.
I like hanging out with people who think the same. The idea of being a sheep living a 9 – 5 life will always bore me. I don’t ever want to view my work as ‘work.’ If I do, I think that means something’s gone horribly wrong.
Instead, I want to carve my own way through life and shape the things I aspire to be – even if it means getting my feet a little muddier than the average person. There is always more to learn.
Here’s to more adventures, the weirder the better.
