1 Enjoy floral-fused cocktails at LIMA London and Floral by LIMA


Tempting tipple await. Both LIMA London and Floral by LIMA will be celebrating Chelsea Flower Show with unique limited edition, floral-inspired cocktails.

The Peruvian restaurants will be treating guests to flavour-packed drinks in honour of the occasion. Priced at £11, Covent Garden-based Floral by LIMA will serve the Floral Kamikaze, a vodka-based cocktail infused with juice from the buzz button flower, lime juice, sugar syrup, triple sec and chilli.

For £12, sister restaurant LIMA London, located in Fitzrovia, will celebrate the restaurant’s roots with La Flor Español – created by blending London to Lima Gin, the floral notes of Otazu Chardonnay, Cocchi Americano, hibiscus syrup and Schweppes soda.

2 Devour the Floral Five menu at aqua shard


aqua shard are launching a tastebud-tantalising Floral Five menu in celebration of the annual show. The menu consists of five cocktails, desserts and teas, all designed around five iconically British flowers, in partnership with award-winning Camellia’s Teahouse.

Taking inspiration from the smells and flavours of elderflower, lemongrass, liquorice, lavender and raspberry the team at Camellia’s Teahouse have created five unique tea blends.From Blue Mallow Tea to Rosy Fever, there’s plenty yo try.

Don’t even think about leaving without trying dessert – the new menu features delights such as Elderflower panna cotta with lemon gel and fresh elderflowers, as well as Raspberry and rose shortcake, finished with black tea ice cream and blue mallow flower.

3 Visit sketch’s oasis of colour and scent


Always one for flamboyance, sketch in Mayfair is going all out for 2019. The creative dining emporium is transforming into a spectacular oasis of colour and scent with six floral installations including pieces by Belgian florist Thierry Boutemy and London florists Rebel Rebel, Jam Jar, Figa & Co, Carly Rogers, Tony Marklew and Ricky Paul.

The restaurant will showcase a series of immersive gardens transforming the entirety of No. 9 Conduit Street, a former Dior atelier, with the artistic visions of florists giving them complete ‘carte blanche’.

As well as this, there’s also a series of events and creative workshops taking place – including a floral workshop with Jam Jar flowers and a breakfast in The Glade with Rakes progress.

Don’t forget the food – the team have worked to develop a range of floral-inspired menus – featuring an array of botanical dishes and drinks.

In the two Michelin-starred Lecture Room & Library, Masterchef Pierre Gagnaire has worked with Head Chef Johannes Nuding to create a floral-inspired set lunch menu, priced at £65 and filled with wild ingredients from the UK’s forests and seas.

In the Gallery, sketch’s acclaimed afternoon tea is also having a floral makeover. The special floral edition will include botanically-inspired cakes and pastries including an Elderflower and Lemon Tart alongside a Rose Flower Religieuse. Who’s hungry?

4 Discover Atul Kochhar x City of London Gin’s petal-powered pop-up


Did someone say gin? Atul Kochhar, the first Indian chef in the world to receive a Michelin star, will be collaborating with City of London Gin at the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show for a themed pop-up featuring four floral cocktails available at Kanishka from May 19th-June 2nd.

Served under the magical greenery of Kanishka’s ceiling, drink your way through How Does Your Garden Grow (Lemon City of London Gin, Roast Lemon & Ginger Vermouth, Lemon, Tumeric, Elderflower & Lemon Lixir Tonic – £9) and The Flower Pot (Grapefruit Peel infused Rhubarb & Rose City of London Gin, Rose Wine, Rhubarb & Ginger Lixir Tonic – 39).

For the foodies, there’s also a bespoke Chelsea Flower Show Tasting Menu to try – featuring plenty of petal-inspired dishes.

7 Admire Under The Sea-themed creations in Chelsea


If you’re looking for a serious floral fix, there’s no better place to do so than Chelsea in Bloom, London’s contemporary floral art show.

Taking place from 20th-25th May 2019,  over 80 shops, restaurants and hotels will transform the streets of Chelsea with breath-taking Under The Sea-themed floral displays.

From Sloane Street, Pavilion Road, Duke of Your Square, and for the first year, the legendary King’s Road, to celebrate its re-launch in 2019, Chelsea will be in full bloom.

Head to Sloane Square’s information point to book a free rickshaw ride or walking tour), where there will also be a pop-up bar area and stunning central floral installation created by florists All For Love London.

From a giant 4m Orca Whale situated on Pavilion Road to a giant turtle comprised of a mixture of plants, succulents, moss and brightly coloured flowers, there’s plenty to explore this May.

8 Sip a complimentary cocktail at Gaucho Sloane Avenue


Sip this way – Gaucho Sloane Avenue will be offering a complimentary ‘Chelsea in Bloom’ cocktail for all Chelsea Flower Show ticket holders when they dine during the festival.

8 Experience a vegetarian spread at Indian Accent


Meat-free mouthfuls await. Indian Accent will be in full bloom this May with a stunning floral display. Plus, to complement the floral façade and in celebration of National Vegetarian Week, Chef Manish Mehrotra has created a special set menu available from 13th – 25th May – a delicious three course vegetarian spread with authentic Indian flavours and delicate botanical touches.

Priced at £40 per person, start with Kashmiri morels with marigold, walnut powder and parmesan papad, followed by green pea kofta with sweet potato and dill flower oil. Finish on a sweet note with basmati rice kheer with rose petals murabba and coconut jaggery.

9 Feast upon fragrant afternoon tea at Brown’s Hotel

10 Discover garden delights at Egerton House Hotel

To celebrate two new garden installations, the hotel has launched a variety of floral inspired experiences including; a new Summer Garden Afternoon Tea, a selection of botanical cocktails and a flower arranging workshop with an expert florist.

Jane has completely transformed the exterior of the boutique hotel with blooming wisteria and a colourful selection of English garden classics. Peek inside to experience a pop-up indoor garden, featuring plum and crab apple trees, lavender, foxgloves, jasmine and roses.

11 Try botanical tipples at Mere’s Fitzrovia bar

12 Try a three-course feast at Tom’s Kitchen


The team at Tom’s Kitchen Chelsea have created a delicious menu inspired by the world-famous celebration, with a special lunch hosted by Tom himself on 22 May too.

Available for the duration of RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the three-course offering starts with a choice of Handpicked crab with basil mayonnaise, nasturtium, cucumber and almond cream or Homemade Ricotta with gremolata, radish, baby cucumber and viola. 

To follow, main courses will include Seared cod fillet, confit fennel, apricots, saffron broth and cucumber flowers or Courgette and pistachio risotto with nasturtium. 

To finish, a beautiful dessert of Poached cherries with elderflower and lavender panna cotta will provide a fragrant and fruity finale. 

The Chelsea Flower Show menu will be available 21–25 May, priced at £35pp for three courses, or £55pp with paired wines.

If you want something more exclusive, on 22 May Tom Aikens himself will be hosting an intimate lunch in the beautiful private dining room at Tom’s Kitchen Chelsea.

For £80pp guests will be treated to a glass of prosecco and floral inspired canapés on arrival, followed by the Chelsea Flower Show Menu with wine pairings and an additional cheese course.

14 Dig into Crosstown doughnuts at Bluebird Chelsea


If you have  a sweet tooth, you’ll love this collaboration. Crosstown are bringing their celebrated doughnuts to the King’s Road for a limited time as they partner with Bluebird Chelsea to create a special floral inspired doughnut afternoon tea for The Chelsea Flower Show.

Running from the 21st – 25th May, the courtyard will be serving a three-tiered afternoon tea pilled with Crosstown doughnut bites, cakes, scones and sandwiches.

Crosstown’s bespoke vegan orange blossom dough bite will feature centre stage on the tea stand accompanied by a selection of floral cakes from Bluebird’s pastry chef. Red velvet and rose petal cupcakes; caramel mocha choux buns; neroli blossom and strawberry macaroons and the flower pot of dark chocolate mousse with yuzu curd and chocolate soil will sit alongside warm homemade scones with jam and butter, and an assortment of sandwiches.

15 Sink your teeth into a Wedgwood-inspired dessert at Daphne’s


In support of the Wedgwood Garden at the show, Daphne’s is teaming up with the lauded china and porcelain company to create a special dessert served on Wedgwood fine bone china.

The Wedgwood Wild Strawberry dessert is a light yet indulgent cheesecake topped with wild strawberries, served on a Wedgwood Wild Strawberry plate (a design which also celebrates its 55th anniversary this year).

In keeping with the wild strawberry theme, a floral installation will be erected, covering Daphne’s Draycott Avenue façade and suspended above the bar.

The installation, remaining in place throughout the summer months, will honour the arrival of Queen’s Club Championships and Wimbledon with a quintessentially British display.

A special set menu also features dishes such as crisp courgette flowers with smoked mozzarella & sunflower pesto; grilled asparagus with prosciutto di parma & red vein sorrel; roast Devonshire lamb with broad beans, peas & violet artichokes; and tagliatelle with gamberoni, zucchine trombetta & san Marzano.

17 Enjoy Scottish-themed sights at Boisdale of Belgravia


In recent years, coinciding with the nearby Chelsea Flower Show, Belgravia in Bloom also takes place in shops, bars and restaurants around Belgravia.
