Offering guests a world of wellness, luxurious design and delicious organic dining, here’s everything a luxury traveler needs to know about The Legian Sire, opening May 2020 in Lombok, Indonesia
Set to make one of Indonesia’s most luxurious design statements, with direct access to Sire Beach and exclusive boat shuttles to the Gili Islands, this new opening is perfect for wellness with a sophisticated edge.
As well as an apothecary bar using local volcanic products, guests can also enjoy a wellness garden, bespoke nutrition plans and a dedicated vegetarian restaurant filled with fresh produce.
Located on one of Lombok’s finest beaches, the 3.8 kilometre Sire Beach, the all-suite and villa resort will have staggering views towards the Gili islands and Bali’s Mount Agung.
It will be made up of The Legian Sire, The Club by The Legian Sire, and The Residences by The Legian Sire – which will launch as a second phase of the project and consist of 15 hotel-managed residences for sale.
Strikingly Timeless Design
Set to make a bold and luxurious design statement on the island of Lombok, the hotel interiors are by Studio Affandy & Yeo, a boutique design studio whose founders Agnes Affandy and Shaun Yeo are prodigies of Indonesian design legend Jaya Ibrahim – interior designer of The Legian Seminyak, Bali.
Affandy and Yeo’s vision for the Lombok project was to create calm, timeless spaces which compliments Ibrahim’s work at The Legian Seminyak, bringing synergy to the project alongside a strong sense of place.
Local culture and craftsmanship is celebrated throughout, with hand woven ‘Tenun Ikat’ fabrics from Sumba and exquisitely detailed ‘lattice’ walls – hand carved in solid teak from Sumbawa.
The Suite Life
Boutique in size, the new hotel will feature 46 suites, including a penthouse. All of these overlook the sea and are notably generous in size, with the entry-level suites measuring over 100 square metres.
One Bedroom Lotus Suites will have expansive terraces each with a beautiful pond cleverly designed to cool Lombok’s warm breeze. Ground-floor One Bedroom Club Suites will have a Butler and direct access to the resort’s pool and Club Lounge, which serves complimentary refreshments exclusively for guests staying in Club Suites or Villas.
The One Bedroom Pearl Suites and Sire Suites will be best for sunset views along with The Legian Suite, which will have two floors, a full-sized rooftop infinity pool and three bedrooms, set in 1,000 square metres of living space.
Those looking for ultimate exclusivity can opt to stay in super-chic The Club by The Legian Sire – with 15 pool villas to recline in, including the palatial 1,700 square metre The Beach Estate.
Covetable club perks will include airport transfers a private butler, laundry, daily afternoon tea, cocktails and canapés at Club Lounge as well as complimentary private bar.
As well as stunning design, the wellness offering is bound to impress. Think bespoke spa treatments, nutrition, fitness and highly personalised programmes – perfect for opulent relaxation.
The spa has five treatment rooms, including an experiential shower, male and female steam rooms, sauna, outdoor vitality pool with hot and cold pools overlooking the ocean and a reflexology foot pond.
Treatments are simple, holistic and inspired by the rich local healing heritage, using ingredients such as volcanic clay, honeycomb powder and Rinjani basalt stones.
An interactive Apothecary Bar will see Wellness Practitioners hand-blending freshly made oils, infusions, poultices and compresses whilst a Juice Bar will serve a selection of freshly harvested fruit juices.
Guests can also unwind with daily yoga, mindfulness meditation, positive affirmation and visualisation sessions – hosted in the open-air ocean-facing Yoga Pavilion – as well as PT, HIIT and Group Spin sessions.
Healthy eating fans, rejoice. Organic, local and sustainably sourced ingredients will be utilised at The Restaurant – a contemporary a la carte ‘sea-and-farm-to-table’ all-day-dining option.
The Vegetarian – Lombok’s only vegetarian restaurant will use only organic, home-grown vegetarian ingredients.
Whilst The Lobby Lounge will serve coffee, afternoon tea and cocktails and The Cucina – a casual alfresco dining option will offer salads and freshly caught fish (as well as homemade pizza and pasta dishes for carb fans).
