Join The Salt Room for a taste trip to the Med this April, no passport required
Taking place to celebrate Brighton wine week an9d in association with Brighton & Hove Food Festival, Executive Chef Dave Mothersill has been busy tasting wines with co-hosts Steve Daniel and Joe Wadhams from Hallgarten to create a mouth-watering menu.
Guests are invited to join the trio at The Salt Room on Wednesday April 11th to enjoy four-courses of fantastically fresh seafood, fish and meat with a Mediterranean twist, all paired with sumptuous wines.
What’s on the menu:
• Jersey oyster, mojo sauce
• Octopus, ink mayo, padrón peppers, salsa verde
• Ibérico pork jowl, clams, grilled onions, romesco
• Monkfish, endive, black olive, citrus
• Amalfi lemon tart, Greek yogurt sorbet
Steve Daniel has one of the most respected palates in the industry and has been a real pioneer of Mediterranean wine over the last 30 years, whilst Joe has worked closely with The Salt Room on its wine lists since its opening.
The wines for the evening will feature a diverse range of indigenous varietals from the likes of the Balearics, Greece and Croatia.
