You can keep your fedoras and arm bangles – this summer, I am all about the choker when it comes to my accessories.
I think chokers tend to get a bad rep. Worn the right way, they can look stylish and professional at the same time – and I love a little bit of a 90’s revival. They’re such a versatile piece – you can really vamp up an outfit with one.
Here’s two examples of my choker obsession in action last week…
Look one: Forever 21
I love the mildly gothic detail on this Forever 21 necklace! And at $7, it was a total bargain when I found it in New York.
*Wearing* An embroidered Zara jacket, H&M swing dress, Urban Outfitters suede satchel. And not a lot of makeup!
Look two: Zara
Alternatively, you can wear a choker to go all out and add a little extravagance. I love this bright red studded Zara choker – even if it feels slightly like a dog collar at times!
*Wearing* MAC lipstick, vintage cream shirt. A lot more makeup than the first outfit…
