Join the two Kiwi chefs for a very special one-off dinner at The Providores and Tapa Room this September
Foodies, mark your calendar. Chefs Peter Gordon and Chantelle Nicholson are teaming up to cook a 6-course menu this September. Both chefs will present a different course to guests in the first floor dining room at the restaurant, serving up a storm of seasonal delights.
This intimate dinner will be co-hosted by the duo, who will talk through each dish, and will also be available for a Q&A after dinner.
Each course will be paired with a wine from The Providores’ wine list which has the largest selection of NZ producers of any list in Europe.
Currently chef-patron at the Covent Garden restaurant Tredwells, this talented chef is also responsible for the operations across all of Wareing’s restaurants, and has co-authored several of his cookbooks.
New Zealand born, a childhood of seasonality and fresh produce inspired her debut cookbook, Planted, in which she offers a medley of plant-based dishes. Despite being neither vegetarian nor vegan, Nicholson enjoys the creative challenge presented by plant-based cooking.
Born and raised in the New Zealand coastal town of Whanganui, at the tender age of 18 he moved to Melbourne and embarked on a four-year chef apprenticeship, whilst also working as a chef.
Once the apprenticeship was over, his spirit of adventure and culinary curiosity led him to travel through South-East Asia, India and Nepal for a year. This life-changing experience was to become a major influence on his culinary style, which is now termed Fusion Cuisine.
In 2009, Peter was awarded an O.N.Z.M. (Officer of the New Zealand Order Of Merit), by HM The Queen in the New Year’s Honours List for services to the food industry.
