Mark your calendar for Tom Kerridge’s brand new Drive & Dine Theatre experience
Get ready to have fun like it’s the 1950s this summer – Michelin chef Tom Kerridge is launching a socially-distanced solution to cancelled events with his exciting Drive & Dine Theatre experience.
Whilst Tom Kerridge’s Pub in the Park summer festival tour may have been postponed due to COVID-19, the Drive & Dine Theatre is traveling back in time and bringing classic drive-in cinema screenings straight to 2020 – with a deliciously gourmet update.
Taking place from 7 July to 2 August 2020, the evenings are a must-book for foodies. As well as enjoying a number of iconic films and latest award-winning blockbusters, guests can devour an exclusive menu curated by Chef Tom Kerridge – to be enjoyed with members of your household (or social bubble) in the comfort and safety of your own car.
“I am so excited to announce a great new event created to have a load of fun in a way that is safely suited to current times,” commented Kerridge. “Come and eat some good grub, catch some quality movies, and make some new memories with your loved ones. It’s the perfect trip out of the house!”
Make the most of world’s largest mobile HD LED screen, on which you can enjoy a line-up of family films and iconic classics, as well as stand-up sessions from Mark Watson’s Carpool Comedy Club.
Films on offer include recent blockbusters 1917 and Knives Out, family favourites The BFG and Aladdin, along with drive-in classics Grease, Back to the Future and Jaws.
On the dish front, think Bacon Cheeseburger with maple-cured bacon, Chicken Tikka Masala, Five Bean Chilli Vegan Burrito and Picnic Boxes suitable for adults or children. For dessert, treat yourself to indulgent TKO Biscuit Cheesecake and Millionaires Chocolate Pot as well as tea, coffee, soft drink and alcoholic beverages.
Personal speaker systems will be provided for each car and food served straight to your parking bay, meaning a stress-free experience. The Drive & Dine Theatre will also be wheeling out the world’s largest mobile HD LED screen, as well as stand-up sessions from Mark Watson’s Carpool Comedy Club.
COVID-secure measures include the careful spacing of cars, staff wearing protective face masks and gloves, contactless food and drink service via a table in your parking bay, and electronic tickets checked from a distance.
For those with weak bladders, fear not. If you require the toilet during your visit, simply place your hazard lights on to attract the attention of a steward. You’ll then be directed by a steward to the bathrooms, which will be throughly cleaned between uses.
