Where To Find London’s Best Truffle Dishes

There’s no need for a well-trained pig to sniff out this season’s best truffles, we’ve hunted them down for you.

From truffle suppers to mouth-watering menus, here’s where to find London’s best black and white truffle experiences this winter.


1 Sample Francesco Mazzei’s four-course feasts

Chef Francesco Mazzei is offering a luxurious white truffle menu at both Sartoria on Savile Row and Fiume at Battersea Power Station – and it’s filled with classic delights.

Available individually or as part of a four-course tasting menu, dishes include Beef battuta with burrata (£18); Homemade egg tagliolini (£14) and Roast turbot with hot Grana Padano mayo (£33).

SAVE THE DATE: Plus, on 28 November, Francesco will be joined by truffle expert, Carlo Caporicci of San Pietro a Pettine, for an exclusive white truffle dinner at Fiume.  Enjoy a three-course truffle menu with dishes such as  Homemade egg tagliolini, followed by Veal Milanese. Finish it off with Francesco’s signature Marsala Zabaglione.

When: White truffle menu is available now. The dinner will take place on 28 November 2018, 7pm start time.

2 Pay a visit to Le Pont de la Tour’s Truffle Hut

Truffles and bubbly, what could be better? French restaurant Le Pont de la Tour is launching a bespoke Truffle Hut – a riverside romantic experience filled with truffle delight, festive spirit… and a bottle of Moët & Chandon champagne.

Guests will be treated to their own private waiter for the cosy evening whilst they sip on champagne and look out over the iconic views of Tower Bridge and the River Thames.

The four-course menu, prepared by Head Chef Orson Vergnaud, is filled with truffle delights throughout. To start, diners will enjoy the Ham hock terrine, truffle mayonnaise, shimeji mushrooms, followed by Heritage mushrooms, ceps ketchup & consommé. The main event will be the Tournedos Rossini, foie gras escalope and truffle potato puree, with Spiced chocolate mousse, mandarin macaroons and sesame tuile bringing a suitable indulgent end to the meal.

When: Available from Monday 5th November for sittings at either 6.00pm or 8.30pm.

3 Tempt tastebuds with Orrery’s truffle menu

Orrery, the French restaurant in the heart of Marylebone, is celebrating the advent of winter truffle season with a delectable menu dedicated to the prized delicacy.

Chef Patron Igor Tymchyshyn has created a bespoke five-course menu using both classic French cooking and well-sourced British produce, with each savoury dish incorporating fragrant fresh truffle.

From roasted cauliflower floret with shavings of northern Italian white truffle to filet mignon pan-fried in butter, and topped with a slice of foie gras, there’s plenty to devour.

4 Go Big with the Boisdale Truffle Burger

If it’s something meaty and mighty you’re after, pay a visit to Boisdale of Belgravia to order the Truffle burger.

Priced at £18.75, sink your jaws into a char-grilled 6oz Aberdeenshire rib-steak burger, completed with black truffle mayonnaise, Gruyère de Comté cheese and roast field mushrooms. Oh so sinful – and oh so worth it.

5 Sink your teeth into Salt Yard’s Truffle lunch

Grab your favourite foodies, Salt Yard will be celebrating truffle season with a special Truffle Lunch on Sunday, 25th November.

Priced at £120 with a wine pairing, the five-course menu include dishes such as White trufflerisotto, egg yolk, cracked black pepper; Pan fried wild bass, grilled hispi cabbage, black truffle butter; and Aged galician beef sirloin, truffled parmesan polenta, jerusalem artichoke, parmesan custard, truffle jus. 

No banquet could be complete without dessert – end the meal with white chocolate mousse, truffle ice cream, black pepper panacotta and caramelised white chocolate. Swoon.

7 Try a Truffle Supper at The Cleveland Arms
