Join Villa d’Este For Portugese-Inspired Wine Symposium This November

Mark your calendar for this exciting (and educational) wine symposium taking place at the iconic Villa d’Este in Lake Como this November

Wine lovers, pack a suitcase and your finest corkscrew for this upcoming diary date.

Taking place this November, Lake Como’s iconic Villa d’Este will once again play host to the prestigious Wine Symposium – with this year seeing the 11th edition focus on all things Portugese.

A must-book for any wine buff, this event is renowned amongst leading winemakers, experts, critics and producers, who gather together from across the globe to partake in an in-depth four-day wine extravaganza.

With Villa d’Este’s stunning setting on the shores of Italy’s famed lake, the stunning property makes the perfect regal setting for the event.

Each year, the Symposium centres around a different theme and country of honour, with this year celebrating Portugal’s refined wine industry and entitled “The Future of Le Grand Vin”.

On the schedule, a number of seminars, workshops and tastings will take place. These will allow guests to discuss current issues in the world of wine and share insights into some of the world’s finest vintages.

Highlights include five special seminars, a duo of world-class workshops and three prestige tastings with limited seating.

As with previous years, private cooking classes will be held by Chef Zambanini. There will also be a variety of gourmet lunches and dinners masterfully prepared by the head chef and his talented team throughout the Symposium.

Prior to the gala dinner, which takes place every year on the final evening, an exceptional Fazioli concert is another reason to book this special event.

Enjoy a performance by internationally recognised Italian pianist Maurizio Baglini, Silvia Chiesa (violoncello) and Nicolas Dautricourt (violon) who will entertain guests with their incredible musical talent.
