Diary Dates: The Aman Venice Launches Exclusive Opera Series

Immerse yourself in the world of Italian opera with The Aman Venice’s serenading new series

As Nellie Melba once stated, “the first rule in opera is the first rule in life: see to everything yourself.”

This spring, luxury travelers can enjoy incredible performances in the heart of Italy’s most romantic city with The Aman Venice’s exciting new opera series.

Venice’s Teatro La Fenice – or the Phoenix opera house – occupies a special place in the history (and hearts) of Italian theatre and world opera.

Founded in 1792, it became opera’s pre-eminent venue in the 19th century when Rossini, Bellini and Verdi premiered their operas here; later, the 20th-century greats – Stravinksy, Prokofiev and Britten – composed for the house. Put simply, it’s iconic for the music world.

After being devastated by fire in 1996, a €90 million restoration returned the venue to its former Rococo glory, making it the envy of the world once more.

Those lucky enough to attend the opera at La Fenice claim it is an experience like no other – and with this in mind, Aman is proud to introduce the Aman Venice Opera Series for 2019.

This spring and summer, music lovers can experience an evening that’s bound to hit a high note with this special offering.

Watch the performance from the luxury of Aman’s private box, whilst enjoying a tempting aperitivo prior to the show, followed by a gourmand dinner once the curtains close. Even better, you’ll be whisked to the performance via boat from La Fenice.

The home of high-society soirées since the 16th century, this stunning hotel is perfect for an Italian escapade.

Formerly the Palazzo Papadopoli, this grand Baroque building houses original frescoes – by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo – and Rococo and Neo-Renaissance decor have been restored to their former opulence.

No stranger to celebrities, George Clooney married Amal Alamuddin within its regal walls. If the beautiful rooms don’t captivate your attention, the hidden jetty entrance and private garden certainly will.
