You’ve ‘goat’ to be mad to miss out on this upcoming event at Craft London
Following the successful launch of Cookbook Club at Craft London earlier this year, Stevie Parle and the team are excited to welcome acclaimed goat meat supplier and former chef James Whetlor to help cook recipes and showcase goat meat from his soon-to-launch cookbook ‘Goat: Cooking and Eating’ on Thursday 26th April.
The popular series of collaborative feasts has seen Craft London partner with other fantastic like-minded chefs and cookery writers – and the third instalment will be no different.
As one of the Craft London’s own suppliers, James founded the award-winning Cabrito Goat Meat in 2012, and with years of cheffing experience was soon supplying top London restaurants including Mark Hix, St John, Quo Vadis and Morito.
Launching his first book, Goat: Cooking and Eating, James will bring his goat meat to the Craft kitchen and cook up a feast that celebrates his and Stevie’s like-minded ethos of sourcing ethical and sustainable produce.
Guests can expect a menu based on the goat meat recipes featured in James’ new cookbook.
The menu will include:
• A cocktail and starters including:
• Kibbeh Nayeh (a goat tartare)
• Orange and Leek Sausages’
• Homemade Goats Curd
• Greenwich Radishes
• A selection of homemade snacks from the Craft kitchen.
• The main course of Asado-Style Goat will be accompanied by salad, sauces and a selection of side plates.
• Goats Milk Ice Cream served with Craft London Honey and Lemon Cake and Lavender Granita
James and Stevie will be on hand throughout the evening to chat with guests, sign copies of ‘Goat’ as well discussing the use and benefits of goat meat.
