Ideal for foodies, the five-star property is launching an assortment of interactive Stay & Cook packages at The School of Cookery, where guests will learn tricks of the trade from the in-house team of professional chefs.

With the one-night packages set to range from Japanese-inspired cuisine to innovative plant-based dishes, these luxury sessions are perfect for learning new skills, having fun and improving your culinary ability at the same time.


Nestled in the heart of the Surrey Hills, Beaverbrook is the quintessential British Country Estate, offering a peaceful haven just 20 miles from London with warm, country-chic rooms featuring four poster beds and roaring fireplaces.

Overseen by School of Cookery Manager, Gerard Molloy, who has over 15 years’ experience working in prestigious kitchens across the UK, including Le Manoir Aux Quat Saisons, Soho Farmhouse and L’Ecrivain Dublin, guests are in for a real memorable experience.

1 Okawari Japanese


Okawari (oh-ka-wa-ree), literally translated as ‘more food please’, is precisely what guests will be demanding at the end of this Japanese culinary experience.

Beginning with a two-hour sushi-making masterclass, guests will try their hand at preparing fresh nigiri, maki and sashimi. As dusk falls, guests are invited to discover the delicate art of modern Japanese gourmet cooking with a seven-course tasting menu at the Japanese Grill, serving innovative Asian cuisine influenced by local ingredients.

2 Hearty & Homegrown


Celebrating all things local, the Hearty and Homegrown experience will begin with a sustainable cooking class, using produce sourced from Beaverbrook’s own kitchen garden and teaching guests how to get the most out of their ingredients to minimise food waste.

In the afternoon guests are welcome to explore Beaverbrook’s vast grounds at their leisure, discovering the manicured gardens, wildflower fields and beehives. For dinner, guests will enjoy comforting home-cooked cuisine at The Garden House awaits, with a menu that showcases the best of British flavours and local ingredients.

3 Plant-based & Nutritious


For eco-conscious guests looking to improve their plant-based repertoire, this experience starts with a two-hour masterclass where guests will learn how to create innovate and nutritious vegan meals using fruit, vegetables and herbs from the Beaverbrook garden. 

An afternoon of nature-based wellness awaits, including an outdoor yoga class and spoiling massage using plant-based oils inspired by the British countryside. Before retiring for the night, guests will sample The Garden House’s newly launched vegan menus, with specialities including Josper Grilled Pumpkin & Fennel and Roasted Parsnip & Apple Soup.
