1 Join Arros QD for its three-month virtual guest chef series with top Spanish paella chefs
London’s home of authentic paella, Arros QD has announced a virtual guest chef series with three of Valencia’s most recognised paella chefs to celebrate the signature dish.
From now until December, Michelin-starred founder, Quique Dacosta will host a live cookalong per month, alongside Vicente Rioja (Restaurante Rioja) Luis Rodríguez (Casa Elías) and Rafa Margós (El Paeller) to create regional, traditional and unique paella dishes. The special guest chef’s paella will then feature on the menu at Arros QD for a month for guest to try for themselves.
Kicking off on Saturday 17th October at 12pm will be Vicente Rioja, head chef and owner of Rioja restaurant in Benisano. The historic restaurant, which opened in 1924, is famous for making one of the best traditional paellas in Valencia.
After each paella masterclass, the bespoke dish will also be available as a special at Arros QD for a month with a £10 discount per person on all paella dishes every Monday to Wednesday, an extension of the pre-existing Eat Out to Help Out Scheme.

2 See the Silver Lining with Sofitel
Ideal for art lovers and optimists alike, pay a visit to a new public artwork and first-time collaboration between critically acclaimed MTArt Agency represented artists Ania Catherine, Dejha Ti and poet Greta Bellamacina – which embellishes London with a glittering streak of optimism
Sofitel, the ambassador of modern French style, is sharing ‘Joie de Vivre’ (The Joy of Life) with London until 19 October through Silver Lining, a major new art installation situated in the St James’s locale to inspire passers-by to look for the silver lining in life as they navigate this new era.
Located within the world-renowned neighbourhood of St James’s, found nestled between Haymarket and Piccadilly within the City of Westminster, the surrealist Silver Lining work, marks the first ever collaboration between MTArt Agency’s artist duo Ania Catherine and Dejha Ti and the esteemed poet Greta Bellamacina.
The commission, which brings to life Sofitel’s much-loved ‘Joie de Vivre’ philosophy, sees numerous locations within St James’s creatively re-imagined by Catherine and Ti with shimmering ribbons of silver, interwoven with a powerful, hope-filled verse from Bellamacina’s inspirational poem which has been uniquely conceived as part of the commission.
The installation and its beautiful, emotive words aim to serve as an optimistic immersive reminder to us all to enjoy re-exploring London with Joie de vivre.

3 Feast on fantasy with Sexy Fish
Sexy Fish has launched its Fantasy Brunch series in collaboration with Japanese craft spirits producer The House of Suntory, bringing a new wave of weekend entertainment, live DJs, cocktails and more to the heart of Mayfair.
Step inside a world of reimagined reality every Saturday throughout October from midday to 10pm. Kicking off the series in true Sexy Fish style will be world-renowned DJ, Kaz James, who will take to the decks from 3pm – 5pm, creating the perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable brunch experience.
Sitting alongside brunch will be a tantalising selection of cocktails including Aegir (£14.00), featuring Haku Vodka, jasmine, coriander, strawberry and soda, Sirena (£14.00), incorporating a sumptuous blend of Roku Gin, strawberry, jasmine, pineapple and lime, and Nāmaka (£18.00), with Toki Whisky, coconut, pineapple, yuzu, Campari and soda.
Throughout the series, guests will be greeted by performers dressed in mesmerising and enchanting outfits, whilst talented DJs will bring the sounds of Mykonos and Ibiza to the capital. Further live entertainment will be provided by percussionists and saxophonists, whilst diners will also be able to enjoy a new selection of delicious brunch dishes including smoked salmon buns, and onsen egg, kimchi fried rice and bacon.

7 Enjoy an early festive treat with 34 Mayfair
If you’re counting down the days until Christmas, you’re going to love this new launch at 34 Mayfair. A Christmas installation like no other, the uncertainty of 2020 has inspired the restaurant to unveil its show-stopping ‘Miracle at 34’ this month.
In partnership with Nyetimber, one of England’s finest wine producers, the restaurant has been adorned with approximately 14,000 decorations – including 8,400 glittering and colourful baubles.
Designed by Jane Wadham, the installation covers every inch of the ceiling and walls, embellishing them with luxurious decorations, welcoming guests into a dazzling festive haven whilst they leave the rest of the world outside.

11 Sink your teeth into southern France with FOLIE’s Weekend DJ Brunch
The south of France is calling – and you won’t have to leave London to find it. FOLIE, the opulent restaurant and bar on Golden Square, where Soho meets Mayfair, has launched their new Weekend DJ Brunches, available every Saturday and Sunday from midday.
Founder Guillaume Depoix and Executive Chef Christophe Marleix have created a delightful menu which offers brunch goers classic dishes, alongside a selection of decadent creations, synonymous with weekends in sunnier climates.
Resident DJ Ed Melech and Florian Sailer will be on hand throughout brunch to provide a retro inspired soundtrack to re-energise, refresh and kickstart the day, from morning through to early evening. Florian and Ed will also play on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at FOLIE.
